Typical Small Town Aussie Police Drama. I worked it out about half way through. There is and story running in the background which continues into the next book though. The audiobook narrator has a very broad Aussie accent which actually suited to the main character.
pickThis book is set in Australia, and not read too many books set in Australia. In the book we are introduced to the character of Harriet Blue, an interesting and what could be a very good character as the series develops. Harriet is involved in a bit of a personal case and without realising it is being targeted. Very quick, easy reading which was very enjoyable. I look forward to continuing with the series. Read during the #EasterExtravaganza

pickSince reading the first Harriet Blue novel, I‘ve been hooked! She‘s a very complex character that you want to root for and also want to help. She‘s obviously haunted by her past but she doesn‘t feel sorry for herself. I like that she‘s fiercely loyal to those that mean a lot to her. I can never wait for the next book to come out because this series is riveting and you want to know more about her. I‘d definitely give this book an A+.
pickFinished this one off late last night and really enjoyed it. Maybe I‘ve been reading too much James Patterson lately, because early on I sorted out who the killer was. But I still enjoyed it nonetheless. Another +3 points for #TeamSlaughter
Starting this one on my snowy walk to work. The weather has no idea what the heck it‘s doing - raining one minute, snowing the next... but I‘m stubborn and I want to take advantage of the times I can walk to work, since I know that -50 weather is coming in just two months. #TeamSlaughter

Is it me or does reading an actual book versus an Ebook on your kindle take longer? I swear I killed it in January and I'm still reading the same book I started in February! Any other James Patterson junkies out there? I am really liking the sarcasm of detective Harry Blue in this series..
pickThis was a pretty good thriller. The characters are great and, initially, I thought it was quite the cliff hanger until I realized it‘s a series... so now I‘m hooked. I love Candice Fox and can see more of her than Patterson in this book. I just want all of her books!
Holmes, the narrator, was also amazing. #audiobook

pickI have to say that I enjoyed this one. The ending could have been a bit better but it was still good. Looking forward to the next one in the series.

so-soOther than it being a fast read because of the extremely short chapters, this book just didn't do it for me. Perhaps if the two main events were tied together in ANY way.. but the whole thing just felt flat and unpolished. ⭐️⭐️⭐️

pickNot amazing but good enough!!! If another book comes out with Harry Jupiter Blue as the main character I will definitely read it. Brother is charged with horrible crimes and all the papers report that he has confessed. At the end of the book, when she finally gets to see him. The only thing he says is " I didn't do this". I almost have to read the next one. Right?
