Steam, banter, and steamy banter. It was funny, but a bit much for me.

I enjoyed this one when I read it on hoopla a few years ago, so I wanted to reread it - only to discover it wasn‘t available anymore. My used copy, courtesy of Half-Price Books, arrived yesterday and now I‘m ready to plan my October reads.
When did Harlequin books get good?? I mean, I‘ve really embraced romance in a way that I‘d never have believed, but I‘ve always dismissed Harlequin books as the trashiest of trash. But then, @intothehallofbooks and @4thhouseontheleft both posted about this book yesterday and I said why the hell not? So pleasantly surprised! This was funny and cute and steamy and involved adults acting like adults. Short and sweet, absolutely recommend.
I like that Tiffany Reisz mixed humor and 80‘s pop culture with this story. It‘s much less complicated and dark than her books in the Siren Series (which is fantastic). It‘s light on the Halloween and heavy on the steam🔥🔥🔥
This was a fun, light palate cleanser in between my horror reads. For a cheesy Harlequin romance, it was surprisingly well written and there was no cringe worthy sexism, so yay for female empowering smut! 👏🏽👏🏽
Not exactly scream-inducing for a #Screamathon read, unless you count the steamy screamy scenes. 😜 Oh, and her brother‘s 80s themed Halloween wedding in the Oregon woods? 🙌🏽🙌🏽
Joey is back home in the Oregon mountains for her brother's '80s themed Halloween wedding, fresh out of a relationship of two years after finding out her boyfriend is actually a married man. When she gets to her family's cabin, she bumps into her brother's high school best friend. Our hero Chris is the lumber-sexual dreamboat we need. He's had a total glow-up and is now a carpenter, doing work on the cabin. This is a quick & sexy⬇️
Maybe I also picked this one up because of the cover. 😁 Joey has just found out her boyfriend of two years is married. She returns home for her brother‘s 80s themed Halloween wedding and gets reacquainted with her brother‘s best friend.
I did not realize this would be so hot and steamy. 🔥The banter between the characters is snarky and fun. I will be reading the next one in November as it‘s set during Thanksgiving. #Screamathon #Bookspinbingo
Doing a bit of spooky cross stitch while listening to this cute audiobook for #Scarathlon2020. Good way to start my Saturday! Hope everyone is having fun so far!
I binged this whole book last night (partly because I share a Hoopla account with the kiddo and didn‘t want to leave it sotting on the account!) and it was delicious. Steamy and spicy with some genuine character development, this was truly enjoyable. Need to read more Reisz.
I have 3 almost-bingos for #BookSpinBingo! Wonder when I‘ll actually complete one.
My first ever Harlequin series romance; I'm like an official citizen of Romancelandia! This didn't have as much Halloween as I had hoped, but it was a lot of fun. Super spicy though.
This was a really cute read. I loved the banter from all the characters and the story was sweet. I think this particular Harlequin imprint is not my cup of tea since I'm more of a closed door/not too graphic sex scene kinda gal.
Maybe I shouldn't admit to reading this. So far it's cute with some pretty snarky dialogue. Needless to say, I'm reading on Kindle so no one knows my secret!
Yowza! This book was scorching hot and the Halloween spin was great. A quick, steamy Harlequin read to kick off my cruise before we sail 🔥🔥🔥 #romantsy
@Jas16 has definitely spoiled me with all this!! Four books from my TBR and a Halloween themed romance that I'm going to start right away. Moonglow is even signed! Plus an adorable tote, an orange library card mug, pumpkin patch pop rocks (which my son will probably steal the second he sees them), super cute vampire tattoos, a Jamie Fraser bookmark (oh yeah!) and witchy chocolates and socks. Such thoughtful gifts and I love everything 👇🏻
There is a lot of sexy times in this #romantsy. Set in the fall at Mt Hood, the setting is perfect. The story is friends to lovers and Chris is adorable. If you like your sexy times rough, dirty and wicked, you‘ll enjoy this one. #readwomen #halloween #EverAfterBox
Woke up feeling contested and fuzzy headed so I decided today was the perfect day to reread my copy of this Halloween #romantsy and then on page 210 I find today's #rocktober. #thefinalcountdown. I had been taking a break from photo challenges but this seemed like a sign.

Just what I needed to read while I was sick. Light and fluffy with engaging characters, scorching sex, and how can you not love an 80s themed Halloween wedding? A big thumbs up! Also #popsugarreadingchallenge (a book set around a holiday other than Christmas)
Decided on the lighter reading from my earlier choices. But, I've also decided to go back to bed for a bit. I may have to send the hub without me to help with the move as my stomachs still a bit unsettled. Ugh.
This one was sexy and fun. Reisz's writing and characters never disappoint. Love that this is part of a series so there's more to enjoy!!
I would read Tiffany Reisz's grocery list, I swear. So damn good so far.
Never read a Halloween romance before, but I'm really enjoying this. Especially the fall setting.
Halfway through my current read and it's so delicious, I don't want it to end. But I've already preordered the next two books in the trilogy, so there's that.
Had a bit of a romance block this October. I haven't been in the mood for contemporary, suspense, historical- nothing. I finally managed to break it with a great Halloween read! Thanks, Tiffany Reisz!
Reisz is always enjoyable for me and this is a great way for people to give her writing style a try with less of the intense kink. Can't wait to read more in this series.
This was the first book I've read by Reisz and I thought it was fun. The novella length means you get the fun parts of the romance without the drama an author needs more pages to create and resolve. Perfect if you just finished something heavy and want something fun. The Halloween theme is very light and not intrusive.
I have the rest of my Friday night sorted out. Good chocolate, sangria, and a good book. ❤️📚🍷🍫
