What an utterly amazing, compelling, and mesmerizing piece of historical fiction. So well written and so well researched. I toted this book around with me like a security blanket all weekend long until I finished it. If I wasn't reading this book, I was thinking about it and was dreaming about it. This has easily become one of my favorite books of all time and a book I'll recommend to any reader of any genre.

Since I currently have over 4700 TBR books on my Goodreads account, I've decided to take pen to paper and narrow down my list. My tastes have changed over the years, I've decided to separate by genre so I have something to reference back to when deciding what to read next. I'll still use Goodreads with my bullet journal, but I'm having fun doodling and using many of my pens that I tend to horde! Lol does anybody else keep a physical TBR list?

I haven't made an edit for a book that I'm loving in a very long time, but Kate Canterbary's words have inspired me to be creative and to translate the movie playing in my head into a teaser image. I'm absolutely LOVING the Walsh world that she's created and highly recommend picking up this series!

2.5 stars. What the hell did I just read? This was not my normal Kristen Ashley book. Nothing to do with it being saucier either. This just didn't hit the spot for me at all. I guess I'm not a fan of the anti-hero trope or the Dom/Sub trope. I love a bossy alpha in my books, but once all of Knights layers were pealed back, I just ended up being disgusted by him. And don't even get me started on Anya...she's almost in the TSTL category. 😒📚🍰☕️

This weekends #bookhaul is a good representation of just how eclectic my shelves are! I love collecting different copies of ALL THE PRESIDENT'S MEN and pretty copies of classics. And I've been waiting to get my hands on THE SHADOW OF THE WIND but every time I go to purchase it at my bookstore it's been sold out since every book club in town seems to be currently reading it. It's KA, what is not to love!? Holy hell, was this book full of angst, crazy high suspense, nail biting scenes, and wonderful tender and sweet moments. Even when I wasn't loving Joe, I was loving every second of this ride. The 'Burg series is easily becoming my favorite KA series!
