Book 13 of 150.
It seemed fitting to read a memoir in comic form about Stan Lee. Some of it I knew from comiccon but it was enjoyable and very fitting. The world lost a great creator.
Absolutely LOVE this memoir. It's done in comic book form, so already one of the coolest that I've read. His life is fascinating and obviously he presents it in such a 'marvelous' way. Such a fantastic human being, presented the way he deserves, as a comic book hero. I highly recommend! RIP Stan Lee. 🤓📖
Stan Lee's graphic novel memoir is on sale for $2. https://www.amazon.com/gp/aw/d/B00UDCI3CW/ #dealalert
I‘m not much of a fan of graphic novels. At all. This graphic memoir, however, was a lot of fun and a perfect way for comic book legend Stan Lee (creator of Spider-man, the Incredible Hulk, the Fantastic Four, the X-Men, and other Marvel superheroes) to tell the story of his life. 4 stars
Lovely, touching and inspiring story about Stan Lee and how he became STAN LEE.
I felt like he was telling you his story himself.
A boy that came from nothing that became a huge someone.
He is already missed very much.
I got this book once in a box, never got around to reading it. But now that this great legend has moved on. I should give it a read soon #ripstanlee
Listened to this on the way home from school and until I finished it. What a life and adventure one human can have. It was amazing to hear how everything got started and how much he truly appreciated his fans. I also ordered a hard copy from BN for $7.98 which should be getting here this week. Thank you for being you Stan Lee

Flash back to 2014 when I dragged my best friend down the Hollywood Walk Of Fame to find Stan Lee's star. I never managed to met the man in person. He shaped our culture. He will be missed!!
So glad I took a break from my classics to read this Marvel-ous graphic memoir. 😉You gotta love Stan Lee! Not only for giving us the coolest superheroes (and villains!) but for his infinite tenacity to follow his craziest ideas and creative heart. What fun to learn about Stan's early writing life and the origin of these legendary comic books and characters! Colleen Doran's illustrations are simply perfect. 😍🙌🏻

Got to see Stan Lee at Dragon Con today. 😍
Got this one in over the weekend. Many thanks to
@Graciouswarriorprincess for sending it to me. I've been wanting to read it for ages! Can't wait to dive in (just have to finish Wolves of Calla first)! And the Litsy community rocks. 🎉📚👏🎉
Though this was a great book and an interesting look at the life of legend himself Stan Lee, since I've watch "with great power, the Stan Lee story", felt this was watered down since there was a lot more to the raise and success of Marvel. But I still enjoyed it. And speaking the the success of Marvel, I went to the midnight screening of Guardians of the galaxy Vol 2 last night ????
Been meaning to read this for ages!
What a great little book with insights about Stan's entry into comics, interesting notes on Marvel characters and lots of humor. I borrowed the audiobook on Overdrive and there are lots of fun "comic book like" sound effects in the background. Short and to the point- a pick!
Great quick read for my flight to San Diego that was super interesting and followed the timeline from Stan Lee 's beginning with Marvel.
This morning I had breakfast on my way to the office I have at the university. Got a little reading done while I ate.
It's just the best way to read a Biography. The timeline of all of Stan Lees Marvel characters and his career in the comic business. Really interestingly good!:)
I love that the storyline is set up like Stan is giving a talk to a crowd- complete with getting carried away and backing up to fill in some details. His voice & personality were captured perfectly; you could really feel his positivity, his pain, his struggle. And of course the artwork was lovely!
I took my middle schooler--a huge Marvel fan--to see Stan Lee speak at this year's LA Times Festival of Books. He was great! We left with this book, and it really captures his voice. My son loooved this book. The best part for me is the honesty about personal and professional setbacks.
