Immortal Dark (Standard Edition)
Immortal Dark (Standard Edition) | Tigest Girma
15 posts | 6 read | 6 to read
The Cruel Prince meets Ninth House in this dangerously romantic dark academia fantasy, where a lost heiress must infiltrate an arcane society and live with the vampire she suspects killed her family and kidnapped her sister. It began long before my time, but something has always hunted our family. Orphaned heiress Kidan Adane grew up far from the arcane society she was born into, where human bloodlines gain power through vampire companionship. When her sister, June, disappears, Kidan is convinced a vampire stole her--the very vampire bound to their family, the cruel yet captivating Susenyos Sagad. To find June, Kidan must infiltrate the elite Uxlay University--where students study to ensure peaceful coexistence between humans and vampires and inherit their family legacies. Kidan must survive living with Susenyos--even as he does everything he can to drive her away. It doesn't matter that Susenyos's wickedness speaks to Kidan's own violent nature and tempts her to surrender to a life of darkness. She must find her sister and kill Susenyos at all costs. When a murder mirroring June's disappearance shakes Uxlay, Kidan sinks further into the ruthless underworld of vampires, risking her very soul. There she discovers a centuries-old threat--and June could be at the center of it. To save her sister, Kidan must bring Uxlay to its knees and either break free from the horrors of her own actions or embrace the dark entanglements of love--and the blood it requires.

Two almost-bingos this month! I didn't finish my bookspin, Immortal Dark or Dracula but I'll add them to my list for November. It's probably going to be an even mix of spooky books I didn't get to in October and Christmas-y books as I start to get into the winter holiday spirit. #bookspinbingo

My sister's cat looks so grumpy here but she was actually living her best life and also helping with my cramps while I got in a bit of reading before my nephews woke up

Pickpick

Enemies to lovers, but very heavy on the enemy part. Kidan and her sister June have been hidden away from the vampire world where her family have been companions with vampires for generations. Her sister is kidnapped and Kidan must enter that world to find her. This book has some pretty dark themes of magic, death, and betrayal. I thought it had some very beautiful writing. It's the first of a trilogy, so no satisfying ending yet.

Vacation starts today! Well, a staycation. I'm off through all next week. On the agenda - sleep, read, some deep cleaning, and walks with Peri. I'm about a quarter of the way into Immortal Dark.

Sace I love that cover. Enjoy your staycation! 1mo

This new series is a gothic blend of dark academia, vampire lore, fantasy, and African lore. At its heart is Kidan, a complex and compelling main character. Her ruthless determination, unwavering devotion to her sister, and the conflict of being torn between two worlds make her a character you can't help but invest in. You will love the tension between her and Susenyos, set against the backdrop of the powerful family houses and the university.

Picked this one up on a whim and now don't want to have to wait for the next two books in this series. I loved this book so much and I am having a hard time making my thoughts make sense for a proper review, so instead I will just say this book was AMAZING and as soon as the next comes out, I will be right there to get it.

Happy Friday night, littens! 💕

I have to work all weekend, so I definitely should have been in bed already - but I started this amazing vampire book a little while ago and now I can't put it down! I know I will probably regret it when I'm dragging tomorrow, but I still think it's totally worth it! 📖

Branwen @vivastory Usually, yes! If anything, occasionally in the summer it will reach the low 90's, but I can't remember it reaching almost 100 in the past few years! 😱☀️ 5mo
