Jack & Wolf are such great characters! Frank Muller narrates perfection!

Jack‘s father is dead, his mom is dying. He‘s given a quest that could end in a cure for his mom. What he goes thru on the quest (portal) & who/what he comes across is King at his best!

pickI know, too many 🐶 pics, but I just can‘t handle this face 😍
As for the 📖... just finished. I enjoyed it, but felt like the last bit sort of dragged. Possibly not fair to have read this right after The Stand. A lot of similarities-good v. evil, adventure tale, journey across the country-but I felt there was more to the journey in The Stand so you weren‘t always looking to the end. I hate to judge this against another☹️

Decided to transfer my 100 Book Bucket list into a more manageable book instead of a binder. Especially since I will have to read a lot of these as e-books. Maple is a great supervisor.
Can‘t wait to finish The Talisman so I can start on this 100 Books list that@janepratt showed me! Ugh I can‘t wait!!!
All the books I bought on Black Friday finally came in! The Merciless III, Thunderhead, The Sun Dog, and The First Time She Drowned we‘re from Amazon. Dry, Seafire, & Ash Princess- Barnes&Noble. The rest of the SK books and The Wicked Girls were Thriftbooks buys!
so-soI dont know why I didnt enjoy this more. I loved Ghost Story by Straub and this story wasn't bad. I think I picked it at the wrong time and also the narration was annoying. I just couldn't get that into it for some reason.

P is for Peter Straub.
King & Straub co-authored The Talisman, & followed up several years later with Black House. These aren‘t as well-known as many of King‘s other works, & that‘s a shame - not only are they fantastic, they link into the Dark Tower opus.
And Straub is an amazing writer in his own right. Check comments below for recommendations 👇🏻

Guys...this is big. I only need 2 more books, Night Shift and The Colorado Kid, and I will have a copy of every single Stephen King book. 😳 It's kind of crazy to imagine. I might lose my mind a little when it happens. The happiness will ensue.
