DS Maeve Kerrigan and DI Josh Derwent move into Jellicoe Close in order to uncover the truth about all the dark secrets hiding behind the neat front doors. They are posing as a couple and have no idea of the danger they face because someone in Jellicoe Close has murder on their mind.

EadieB This is the 10th book in the Maeve Kerrigan series. I have been reading this series from the start and I am really enjoying the entire series. I love all the characters which makes the book even more enjoyable. The book can be read alone but the series is more enjoyable if you read them in order from the beginning. The plot of this book is very different than the ones before as this is the first one that Maeve and Josh have finally done together. 1y
EadieB The story is told in the first person POV from Maeve so we get a real close picture of things that are happening. I am now looking forward to the next book in the series. Read this book and find out all the dark secrets of Jellicoe Close. If you like suspense with your mysteries then you will love this book. (edited) 1y

Luckily my #BookSpin was the book I most wanted to read this month. I finally got caught up to the current book in this series, so I was anxious to see what happens next to Maeve. This was a complicated storyline, as usual, with more than one case. Her books always seem like one thing before becoming a lot more. This one focused a lot on her relationship with her coworker, Josh. I‘m not even sure what I want to happen there! A spoiler in comments

MallenNC I love Maeve, but she continues to get herself in danger in dumb ways, like running out after a dog without her phone or anything. I hate that she has to get saved by Josh a lot. At least in the last confrontation she was saved by some teenage girls! 2y

TrishB For those reading series- I‘m getting a bit fed up of the will they/won‘t they. Anyone else? Am I just a grumpy old cow? 2y
MallenNC I just got this so I haven‘t finished yet! I‘m excited to read it. 2y
Andrew65 I have this and keep meaning to read it. Love this series. 2y

TheSpineView Great job! 2y
kezzlou85 I really enjoyed the story but I totally get what you mean @TrishB . 2y
TrishB @kezzlou85 I sort of don‘t want it to become the main storyline 🤷‍♀️ 2y
kezzlou85 @TrishB neither do I. The cases should take the focus. 2y

Oh I love these books. The series is so good. Full of drama, intrigue and mystery. There's background stories and relationships but the murders do take focus which I really like. The cases in this were really good. I solved one of them but not the other. The ending was really good and dramatic. It left me wanting more from the characters. These are always a steady burn but with plenty going on along the way. #Netgalley 5*
