I loved this edition to the Tita Rosie‘s mysteries. It was great to get a more light-hearted and sweet version of the family again.

More of a cozy mystery set at Christmas than a Christmas-themed cozy mystery (if that makes sense), but still excellent! I love Lila and her huge supporting cast of family and friends.
Loved Arsenic&Adobo so much, I went for this one next. A trilogy about Lila Macapagal, a Tito Rosie kitchen mystery - love these characters!

Soft pick for me! Liked it better than the second one for sure though! I think maybe I‘m not the target for a cozy mystery. The description of food really gets in the way of the mystery for me. I did, however like the mystery and I‘ve always loved all the characters.
Low pick, I‘m sorry to say. Lila‘s cousin Ronnie makes a surprise return to town (true Prodigal Son style), only for one of his investors to turn up dead by poisoning.
There just wasn‘t enough personal growth here for any character (except maybe Tita Rosie and Det Park???) and Ronnie is leg. terrible - at one point he blames his mom for his dad abandoning them. He never really apologizes either.
But the recipes included look to be the best yet! ⬇️
1. Historical SF; NYC; near-future dystopian US; and the tagged which I‘m not exactly sure? But might be in a fictional small midwestern town 🤷🏻♀️ these are my current active reads at least lol
2. I don‘t know! I love getting a feel for new places I‘d never dreamed of before!
3. So many 🫣 Im a sucker for any lush fantasy world, tbh 🧌🦄🐉🏞️

Another audio in this series. Just heard there‘s a fourth too!!! These covers also never disappoint. 10/10. 🥰
Thanks to a quick audiobook finish of my last read I can move on to my next #Bookopoly read. Thank goodness my roll landed on Library because I have a huge influx of these books right now. This one has been on my TBR since it came out and I‘m glad I was finally able to snag the audiobook from one of my new libraries.
Book 3 in this cozy mystery. I have such a hard time with series. I loved the first book. The second was ok. This one i liked as much as the first. So that made me 😊. Lila and her family seem to always be in the center of all the trouble in their small rown of Shady Palms. It's up to Lila to help solve yet another murder and help keep her family name clear. Id round up to 4 stars.

The food always captivates me more than the mystery in these books. I would love to try everything that is described and I like that recipes are included! The story itself is a bit forgettable. If you liked the first two in this diverse cozy mystery series, you will like this one! 🎧
Good addition to the series, but I was really annoyed with how judgy they were to Ronnie. Yes he screwed up, but give him a chance instead of assuming the worst. The mystery was fun a as always, loved all the f&b stuff!
Keeping up with my cozy mystery reads! Glad my library quickly added book 3 to their collection.
