Another great Rebecca Ross book! I love her magic systems- they are always unique. In this one wardens record nightmares and have to fight them every month until a curse is broken. Lots of magical secrets and disguises with a satisfying ending. ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

Another potential four star turned to three. I loved the plot and setting, but realized I didn't love the characters or romance. I enjoyed reading it and look forward to other books by Rebecca Ross, but there was something stopping me from loving it.

I'm so happy it is candle season at last.

Next physical book from my TBR.

I fell in love with Rebecca Ross‘ writing last year with “Divine Rivals”, and my recent read of “A River Enchanted” and “A Fire Endless” were no exceptions. “Dreams Lie Beneath” continued this trend, and I really enjoyed the writing, story, characters and world-building. Bonus points for a beautiful book map as well!

My first Ross book but definitely won‘t be my last. Beautiful and unique fantasy world-building, characters to root for and love and a story that is absorbing and gorgeously written…unfortunately for me, it‘s a standalone. 😂😂😔 Happy to have discovered this author. 4.5/5⭐️

I‘ve become a Rebecca Ross fangirl, and loved being able to go into her back catalogue for this one. I loved the story and it gave me a bit of Sorcery of Thorns vibes too. There were characters that weren‘t as they seemed but I didn‘t see it coming. Really satisfying. ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

I fell in love with Rebecca Ross as an author last year when I discovered A River Enchanted and Divine Rivals, and wanted to explore more of her back catalog (found on Hoopla).

This ended up being a light pick (3.5 ⭐️). Ross has a beautiful writing style that really brings forth the magic of the worlds she creates. Overall, though, this ended up being a somewhat generic (but above average) YA fantasy romance.

I recommend to #BorrowNotBuy!

Dreams Lie Beneath read like a fantastical dream, from a duchy under a curse, which will belong to the one who breaks it, to dream wardens who are magicians that document your nightmares, then battle one each new moon. I loved Clementine‘s strength and perseverance, as well as her ability to make up her own mind and not be swayed by others. I don‘t want to give anything away, but definitely read this one if you like fantasy.

Trying to decide which version to read; Owlcrate or LitJoy?

The Owlcrate is prettier and I‘m not a fan of the shiny cover but the shiny cover is better for traveling with me to and from work 🤔 decisions, decisions…
