Solid novel - good storyline, not predictable, well-written. Would recommend to friends.

PROMPT: PARTY
She was at the party, and now she is dead.
Who saw Candace when she left the party after an argument three years ago?
Where was Candace for a week before they found her in the lake?
THE SORORITY MURDER is engaging, has a great story line, and complicated, interesting characters.
One character is pretty evil and cunning.

I enjoyed this one. I see some mixed reviews but … it kept me. I plan on reading the second one.
Lobster hunting ghosts? 🦞👻
Loved it. By the name I expected it to be campy and over the top. It‘s not (although don‘t get me wrong, I love camp). It is well plotted and elaborate and still fun even once the twists come to the surface.

Couldn‘t let October slip by without checking “pumpkin beers by the fire” off the bucket list (after some yard clean up and painting the bulkhead)

This is my line up to finish out strong for #Scarathlon2022

Here's another one I kept putting off for no good reason and ended up absolutley loving it. I'm a sucker for crime podcasts and once you add a little armchair sleuthing to it....hooked! I'd love to read more and see if the author holds up!

4½⭐
While quite a few readers didn‘t seem to like this book, I found it quite engaging. I listened to the majority of it in one day, I was so hooked. You know when they say “no two people read the same book” they are so right. A lot of the complaints say that it moved at a snail's pace and if I hadn‘t listened to it, I would‘ve definitely thought it was overly slow myself. This is one of the reasons I love audiobooks.
While I don‘t think the writing is a good as the last book I reviewed, I also devoured this one in print and on audio. Candace Swain disappeared after her sorority‘s party for a week and then was found dead. Three years later, Lucas is hosting a podcast, his capstone project, to find out where Candace was for that week. He is joined in his search by a former U.S. Marshall. I knew who the killer was fairly quickly and some of the story was ⬇️
A girl vanishes for a week before her body turns up dead. Three years later Lucas puts together a podcast to try to find the missing pieces to solve the murder. As you can imagine, there is always more to the story...
This is my first Allison Brennan book but definitely not my last! I binged the book in 2 days whenever I had spare time. I actually downloaded her first novel on my kobo to make my way through all her books.
My #doublespin for March! ☘️ This was a fun read about a sorority gone way wrong. It took me a little out of my slump, but not all of the way yet. 😢 #bookspin #bookspinbingo
Starting my #doublespin ! I hope this is a good one.. I‘ve had so many duds in a row that I can‘t take it anymore. 😣 #bookspin #bookspinbingo

Another great thriller. Lucas, a college student, decides to base his capstone project on a podcast he starts, which he creates of a three year old disappearance and murder of a sorority girl at his college. What happened to her while she was missing a week before she was murdered? Who murdered her? Can he help solve this cold case with the help of a former US Marshall who also takes an interest in the case and ends up needing to protect Lucas?
Finished my second book in the #JoyousJanuary Readathon! This was a great thriller. On to book number three.
