This one took an unexpected turn, but I liked the mystery and boy was it engaging.

Thank you so much @Chelleo 💓 💗 What a great #BlitsySwap package!!! I love everything. I'm a sucker for bookish socks, and the bookmarks are gorgeous 😍 And a fantastic selection of books, I love them all and I love that they are from three different genres so I'm ready for whatever reading mood hits!
Your off-the-TBR pick is perfect! I'm a sucker for retellings and anything mythology based, so it's right up my alley!
Thanks again!!!!!!
Finished this #doublespin in two days - needed that after all my DNFs lately! This was excellent and I am looking forward to her next book queued up on netgalley...

“I‘ve heard some women say having a baby changes you. Not having one can change you too. “
“Mistakes don‘t make nobody bad. It makes them human.”
Just finished my yearly reading goal 🤩🎉
This has a great opening scene. Though it slows down a little after that, I stayed interested in what exactly were all the secrets (from the past and present). It‘s a good thriller that reminded me of classic Grisham. I‘m excited to read the second book, which features the backstory of one of this one‘s characters. The audiobook narrator is great.
This book was ok, kind of depressing, boring but wild at parts 😮
3.5/5
Read for April‘s pick for the #LiterallyDeadBookClub
Dear Wanda M. Morris:
Please write more books.
Thank you.
A complete page turner - a great protagonist with a dark back story and a crazy present day storyline.
Legal thriller. So good for me, couldn‘t put it down. Ellice Littlejohn a successful black female attorney working for a big firm one day went to an early meeting but found her boss dead. Instead of calling the police, she ran away. Why? At that moment we will start to know all her little secrets, “mistakes didn‘t make you a bad person. They made you human” (Said Vera, a character I loved). This is a debut novel but I will follow this author. 4⭐️
Ellice‘s boss, with whom she‘s having an affair, is found dead at the office and she‘s suddenly catapulted into his job in the executive suite. Very quickly, she finds herself steamrolled by the racist white men running the place and she suspects something very bad is happening. I really liked this thriller. It‘s a great story wrapped up in the realities of being a black woman in a high powered position in a white man‘s world.
@TheAromaofBooks I did it! This is my #bookspin square 8. Woo!
This was a good thriller. Ellice is a successful attorney in Georgia. She is one of the singular Black employees in the company. When her boss suspiciously dies in his office, Ellice is fast-tracked into the General Counsel position for the company. This promotion comes with a cost. Secrets of her past begin to surface & threaten to ruin Ellice or cost her everything she loves. ⭐⭐⭐✨
#NYWD22 book #3 this is a soft pick for me. Ellie Littlejohn has climbed the corporate ladder dragging her secrets behind her. She‘s the only Black woman on the executive floor and she‘s only there because her boss (and lover) is found dead. I think a rather pedestrian mystery is elevated by Morris‘s observations about race and misogyny.

It‘s -23, -30 with the windchill, so it‘s the perfect day to snuggle up with my third #NYWD selection All Her Little Secrets.

It took me a while to get into this thriller, but once I was in, I was committed. I think it was a good debut. Ellice Littlejohn is a well crafted, imperfect, sympathetic character.
Oohh - three stacked this month 👏🏼👏🏼👏🏼👏🏼

This is a fun thriller featuring a corporate attorney with some secrets in her past...so when she finds her boss and lover dead from a gunshot wound in his office she walks away. The murder, the secrets, the corporation and some bad 'fear' based decisions all combine to unravel the good life she has created. This is a debut novel and I will be watching for more from this author. I gave it 4/5 stars and will be recommending it to friends.
Normally me: legal thriller? Meh.
THIS legal thriller - Yes please and more from this author!
I won this through a GoodReads giveaway, so felt obligated to read it, and I‘m so glad I did! I loved the noir vibe, and there was something about this that made me want to keep reading. If you‘re on the fence about whether to read this one, don‘t be.
Had been a while since I inhaled almost an entire book in one day.
It‘s going to be burning hot outside this will be perfect to entertain me while I‘m inside with the AC blasting,A thriller to keep me racing through the pages perfection,
