pickIt‘s weird reading a book that expects a high understanding of the function of sororities and that of tarot. As someone only meeting one of those requirements, it took a little while for me to get into the feel of things. Once I got in, I was with it up until the very last page. I did feel that the characters were a little under developed, but I‘m not one to be too bothered by that. 5⭐️
Will I squeeze this into October?

pickFinished this audio book about a week ago. I really enjoyed this creepy book. Again, perfect for spooky season. A sorority that covers for their real purpose, which is that they are really a powerful witch coven. Vivi doesn't know she's a witch and at first doesn't want to pledge but then something draws her in. Scarlett is already a sister and wants to be the best and the next president. Then all kinds of crap hits the fan. A great audiobook.
pickI found it easy to guess the ending and it was a little too life lessony for me, but I still enjoyed most of it anyway. I liked the characters and the overall vibe. 3.5 ⭐s

pickEnjoyable read if you‘re into a bit of magic! It‘s the story of a house sorority sisters who are all witches, the story flips between two main characters all coming together at the end. Good read!

pickThis is about witches, the Ravens are a sorority but with this secret. Every year they choose new women to join their sisterhood, but this time one young lady doesn't know she is a witch. There is something going on with the witches and they need everyone on board no figure out what is going on. It was a good read, kept me entertained and look forward to next book.

pickA fun book about a sorority of witches and how two of them have to learn to work together. I really enjoyed this one and found it to be a fast read that I couldn‘t put down. I liked the characters overall. I probably wouldn‘t be friends with them, but they were still interesting, and I felt connected to them. I also appreciated that there was definitely growth amongst the characters throughout the story. Recommend!

pickLoved the care that went into researching witchcraft for this book. Aside from the fantastical aspects of magic, the aspects of witchcraft were spot on. I wasn't expecting the multiple twists until right before they happened. I stayed up late reading the last 50-100 pages because I didn't want to stop. 5⭐

I was OBSESSED with this book as I kept reading! Kass Morgan and Danielle Paige are a great writing team, and you can definitely tell how they were able to combine their styles together. I felt like I was watching a teen mystery show; there was so much drama and suspense as you follow a sorority full of witches. I cannot wait to read the sequel!

pickI enjoyed the themes of sisterhood, magic and college life especially Greek life. The characters are diverse and inclusive. A Black female character as one of the leads in the story drew me in. I enjoyed envisioning what the spells would look like before my eyes. This story is worth four out of five stars. I‘m definitely looking forward to the sequel The Monarchs coming in 2022.

I kept on reading, it lost its luster. I felt like the rushing and hell week were rushed. I feel like the romance was just forced. I did like the friendships and sisterhood.

so-soRead this one for #BNYAbookclub. Not my favorite, but I liked the atmosphere. I think the book honestly would have been a lot better without the perspective of Vivi. Maybe I just am not a fan of Kass Morgan's writing as much as Danielle Paige's. I will probably read the sequel when it releases

pick5/5 for this witchy thriller! Vivi and Scarlet were both awesome characters. It was great to see everything from both of their point of views. I loved the witch sorority and their sisterhood. The twists and turns in the book kept me interested in the book. I cannot wait to read the next one.
