She is my favorite of all time. I love her. I am one of her “Lambs” for sure. I will not get started. 😂

I watched Coffee & Cults deep dive video on JLo & Diddy this last week, & I can not believe this is not more known. They built JLo's entire music career around stealing other artist's songs, samples & vocals(allegedly). I had always thought it was weird that she didn't sing in the Selena biopic, never sounded the same in any of her songs & was autotuned so much, now I know why. No wonder Mariah called her out so much.

⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ Dahlin', if you only knew- Always been a Mariah fan and I enjoyed the insight into her growing up and how she got started in the industry. She a beautiful writer and the memoir is full of prose and metaphors ❤️ if you are a fan I recommend. Many recording studio pages with a ton of name drops if you are into that. But loved reading where her inspiration came from for the songs she wrote!

Mariah dishes and sings 🎶Girl does not hold back!!
I‘m no super fan, but I really appreciated learning about Mariah‘s struggles and hardships. She may be a diva, but she‘s put in the hard work and that voice is truly Gd sent. Audio narration is A MUST!! I don‘t think I would have gotten through this book in print.

Enjoyed this insight into Mariah‘s life and childhood. It really helps reframe the way her narrative played out around the time Glitter was released.

Just started reading this today, well also listening to the audiobook at the same time cause why not…
March 27, 2021 Listers!! Heads up! I learned so much about Mariah Carey from reading her autobiography. She writes about the dark lonely moments as a kid and how her family affected her, THEN suddenly turns the book 180 degrees almost 2/3 of the way in the end by talking about how she was able to come out from the darkness and continue making music and being supported by her family -- especially Moroccan and Monroe -- her kids 🤧😩😪

Mariah‘s music is very catchy, but I‘m not a super fan. Still, I‘m glad I picked this #audiobook up at an audible sale. I can see why her very scarce, insecure childhood caused her to go over the top in everything as an adult. I always thought, especially after reading her tour riders, that she was a crazy diva (and she is), but she‘s also a dedicated songwriter, survivor, and overprotective mother. We‘re all more than meets the 👁.

Puzzles and Mariah Carey this Saturday morning. Enjoyed this memoir, but not as much as Jessica Simpson‘s.

Loved it. I became a big Mariah Carey fan after first hearing Vision of Love when I was 12 or 13. While I knew some elements of her upbringing and was vaguely aware of how toxic her relationship with Tommy Mottola was, I had NO idea how many factors there were conspiring against her. I wish her peace.

Reading this on the heels of watching the NYT documentary Framing Britney is giving my hatred for the press coverage of female entertainers renewed passion. 🤬

This is THE book for true Mariah Carey fans. I‘ve loved her for many years but even more now. She explained the meaning behind her songs which she composed the music for, wrote the lyrics and perfectly sang. She is mostly definitely a prodigy. But also she shared a heartfelt story of her life. Most anyone can relate to some aspect to her journey. I surely could

This made me remember how much I was obsessed with her music. I‘m glad she got her happy ending. She seems like a great mom.
⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ Miss Mariah Carey! I knew very little about her before picking up this #NewYearWhoDis selection. She is incredible, and now I have to dive into her musical catalog for the first time in a long while.

I‘m enjoying this and learning SO much about her that I didn‘t know. The nitpicks side of me caught this repeat paragraph about 40 pgs after it first appeared. Does it matter? Hell no, but it got me to pause and flip back to find its first appearance.

Thank you for the tag, @EadieB 🤗💜
This almost feels like cheating, but I‘m currently reading the tagged book and all of Ms. Carey‘s hits are running rampant! 🎶🎵🎶🎵 She‘s got me feeling #Emotions for her remarkable journey!
I love socks, mugs, t-shirts!
No preference on characters. I think I may tend to prefer slightly older characters...🤷🏻♀️

Burger no meat and Mariah Carey!
The book is due back in 3 days so i have to get moving on it!

Library hold ✔️

Loved this so much!
Mariah Carey was the first album I ever owned and I have loved her for almost three decades at this point.
While I certainly knew a great deal about her, this book opened me up to so many stories that I was completely unaware of.
HIGHLY recommended for fans both old and new!

Happy Christmas ✨🎄
Thank you Helen for the journal (I LOVE it ♥️) and the postcard & bookmark (these quotes are actually spot on.) Hope you‘re having a lovely Christmas 😘
And my little book haul. I asked my other half for the bottom two, the Mariah I‘ve read on audio but wanted the hardback too for the pictures 😂 and I‘m sure I will read it again. The Paris book was a gift from my Mam which I‘d never heard of but sounds right up my street ✨

The books I‘m most interested in from the list. Here is the link in case anyone else wants to check it out: https://apple.news/A79dJFVvTQtKXyKW0dZStug

I‘m a huge Mariah fan but this is better than I was expecting. It‘s amazing. The parts about her childhood & her father were really eye opening & touching; her story is true rags to riches. You get insight into how some of her songs were written, her first marriage & the control she was under, the Glitter period & her ‘emancipation‘. She knows how to tell a story & it‘s so riveting. A joy to listen to and I probably will do so again. ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

I absolutely love Mariah as much as I love reading and books. Yet, even I, am amazed at how good this book is. I probably could stay up all night reading it to the end...

I was hesitant at first. I‘ve never been a fan and only liked one or two songs (that I don‘t even like enough to own) but when I tell you this book was FABULOUS! She pulled no punches on the difficult situation with her family, her struggle to make it and the reality of her industry marriage/relationships. I couldn‘t put it down! She was so honest, relatable and down to earth that I have a new respect/liking for her.
⭐️ ⭐️ ⭐️ ⭐️ 1/2 out of 5

Mariah spills all the tea! 🐸☕️ I‘ve been a big fan since I was a kid, and I loved reading this and learning the meaning behind some of my favorite songs, especially the ones about Derek Jeter. I also admire and respect her so much more after learning about her crummy childhood and awful family. Her relationship with Tommy Mottola will make your blood boil! She worked her ass off to get where she is. She‘ll always be my favorite! 5⭐️

I‘m not the biggest fan, although I like some of MC‘s songs. But I do ❤️ a memoir. Raised in a very unstable environment and then marriage (divorce) to a controlling man, her amazing success was a result of her talent, strong work ethic, and true love of writing and music. The book did seem to be less detailed at the end (after the birth of her children), and even though the book was just released, I feel like we need an update. 3/5🦋s

I chose this book as a light read alongside the heavy Crosshairs by Catherine Hernandez. Not part of the Lambily by a long stretch but still curious. MC had a much shittier childhood than I knew. Her work ethic and wit really come through. I would‘ve liked more self reflection and a bit more dishing (How was the power imbalance in her first marriage different from that of her current relationship? What did Prince say to her?!?).

Gorgeous morning listening to Harry Styles and reading about Mariah.

I love, love, love her book. She narrates it and she has won a new fan!

I didn‘t expect to enjoy this as much as I am! Mariah narrates this memoir so well, and it‘s written wonderfully.
I may not be the big fan I was when she broke out in 1990 (eleven year old me thought “Vision of Love” was EVERYTHING), but her story is undeniably fascinating.

Planning on getting some pages in for #readyourway and starting this one tonight. I don't know much about Mariah except that people say she is a total diva and that she has a beautiful voice! Looking forward to learning about who she is as a person. 🎶🎼🎵

This one is just fun! Mariah reads it herself and sings a fair bit so if you are a fan definitely get the audio. Her writing style is overly dramatic but really I think that fits her perfectly. Perfect recovery book for me after the goldfinch.

⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ Honestly, when I first heard about this book, I‘d thought it‘d be a hot ass mess, but it‘s a well-written, solid celebrity memoir. I knew nothing of Mariah‘s childhood. Like many artists, she‘s been through, and risen above, a lot. She comes across genuine and vulnerable; playful and self-deprecating. At times, unreachable, yet also relatable. She expertly narrates and sings well-placed a cappella snippets. My god, her voice is stunning.

▶️🎧 There are few things I love more than a good celebrity memoir. Very much enjoying this so far! Her music was a big part of my childhood. I fondly remember a close friend and I fiercely debating who was better: Mariah Carey or Paula Abdul. It was a ridiculous recurring argument. 😂 #TeamMariah

Just adding to my to my reading list. Really like this young lady.
