vlwelser Can you tell how many voters there were? 3d
See All 9 Comments
vlwelser Jk it says 12 at the top 3d
Riveted_Reader_Melissa @vlwelser it‘s ok, I know people are curious. 12 responded and they could all vote for as many as they were interested in. 3d
wanderinglynn Hi Melissa, you can remove me from the list. I have too many things going on right now to participate. Thank you! 3d
AllDebooks It was a tough choice, so many great books 📚 3d
willaful Remove me please, I'm just overloaded right now! 3d
Riveted_Reader_Melissa @wanderinglynn @willaful I will, and I understand. Serious nonfiction reading can feel like a job right now, I‘m trying to balance with a LOT of fiction & fantasy! 3d

mhillis Thanks for organizing! I‘ll join when my library hold align lol 3d
BarbaraTheBibliophage Hello @Riveted_Reader_Melissa - lovely to see that #shesaid is still thriving. I‘ve read several of these choices and they‘re all excellent!! May dip my toes in discussions. 💕 (edited) 3d
Riveted_Reader_Melissa @staci.reads @mhillis You‘re welcome 3d
BarbaraTheBibliophage @Riveted_Reader_Melissa I‘m doing okay—missed this group and trying to step away from Meta. My reading has been very “choose by mood” for the last year or so. Not much nonfiction comparatively. And lots via audio as it feels “easier.” (edited) 3d
BarbaraTheBibliophage @Riveted_Reader_Melissa Hope you are doing okay also!! 3d

Hello #SheSaid! It‘s no secret that I have gotten behind this month while moving. So we do not have a book selected for January. So January will be our catch-up reading month (I need it to finish December‘s yet), and Voting for the books for 2025. I‘ll take all the nominations so far and get a Voting Poll up for you by the first. Sorry for the delay, and please enjoy your holidays and have a great New Year!

vlwelser 🤗😘 1mo

wanderinglynn Thank you for tagging me, but you can remove me. 2025 is going to be a crazy year for me and I‘m not going to be able to keep up. 😀 1mo
Bookwormjillk Sounds good. I‘ll plan on reading Becoming A Matriarch in January and will email you when I‘m done. 1mo
Singout Fair enough! Moving is *hard *. I‘m still working on Becoming a Matriarch! 1mo
Singout Nominations: Ordinary Notes by Cristina Sharpe, We Were Feminists Once by Andi Zeisler, Ordinary Girls by Jaquira Diaz, Hijab Butch Blues by Lamya H, I Heard Her Call My Name by Lucy Sante, Ten Steps to Nanette by Hannah Gadsby, Bad Cree by Jessica Johns, Rest is Resistance by Tricia Hershey. (edited) 1mo
Riveted_Reader_Melissa @wanderinglynn will do, I hope it is a good one for you, and join back when ever you want. 1mo
Riveted_Reader_Melissa @Bookwormjillk Sounds good, thank you 1mo
Riveted_Reader_Melissa @Singout I‘d say 90% of my physical books are moved now at least 😂. Need to move the rest and other odds and ends. I keep thinking I should slowly just buy more on kindle and not keep the physical ones… but then we get into book banning and who really has control of our digital content…and I think, maybe keep the physical books. 😂 1mo
Lizpixie Will there be a Non Fiction Bingo in 2025? 1mo
Riveted_Reader_Melissa @Lizpixie Yes there will, I‘m behind on posting that too though 😂 1mo
Singout Oh, yay! 1mo

This book is an excellent piece of investigative journalism. For sanity reasons, I rarely watch the news, so this book filled in all those details I missed surrounding the Weinstein scandal and fallout thereafter. #pulitzer

⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

TrishB That‘s a very good reason not to watch the news. 2y
EvieBee @TrishB It‘s rarely good news these days 😩 2y

Please just read this. An in depth look at the journalism that went into breaking the Harvey Weinstein case, with an additional section on Christine Blasey Ford. Bless these women — the journalists and the women and who came forth to tell their stories.

The reporters who broke the Harvey Weinstein story wrote a book about their investigation and the effect it had on his victims and on other women who were harassed. Since that story broke, countless women have come forward and insisted that women shouldn‘t have to put up with such behavior.
