Pages & Co.: Tilly and the Lost Fairy Tales
Pages & Co.: Tilly and the Lost Fairy Tales | Anna James
22 posts | 11 read | 13 to read
A magical adventure to delight the imagination. The curl-up-on-the-sofa snuggle of a series from a uniquely talented author. Tilly Pages is a bookwanderer; she can travel inside books, and even talk to the characters she meets there. But Tilly's powers are put to the test when fairytales start leaking book magic and causing havoc . . . On a wintery visit to Paris, Tilly and her best friend Oskar bravely bookwander into the land of fairytales to find that characters are getting lost, stories are all mixed-up, and mysterious plot holes are opening without warning. Can Tilly work out who, or what, is behind the chaos so everyone gets their happily-ever-after? The second enthralling tale in the bestselling PAGES & CO series.

3 stars: meh, but worth reading.
Unfortunately, not as good as the original, but still cute. I have the next book in the series so I'll probably read it at some point, as I would like to know what happens next. The characters are lovable and the premise cute, if nothing else.

It is not interesting as the first book, but I like this book wondering concept very much esp in the land of fairy tales. Felt like an abrupt ending, may be reading the next one in the series ll help. 3⭐️/5

Tilly and Oskar are off on another adventure in the book world. It was Good until the ending. I like the way they incorporate fairy tales and plot holes. Didn't like the ending. Was rather a let down after first book.

GondorGirl This makes me sad, because the first book was REALLY good. 3y
youngreadrshelf @GondorGirl I know. It was moving along really well but the end was a letdown. I think it‘s really leading into the third book which I will read to see if some of my hunches are correct. 3y

"There was an air of expectation and endless possibility stacked neatly along the tidy bookshelves, adventure tucked between dust jackets."

I adore this series with all my heart! ??

mom2bugnbee Ummmm... This sounds amazing. Are these middle grade, YA, or adult? 4y
Branwen @mom2bugnbee We have them in the children's fiction section at work! I think the main character is 10 or 11? So honestly it would work for a tween audience as well! 4y

Such a delightful middle grade fiction story. Perfect to read before Harry Potter. The story follows a young girl called Tilly who has found out she is from a family of book wanderers. We follow her on a journey to save ‘traditional fairytales‘ but not as we know them because book magic is at work. Great characters, superb illustrations too. One problem; the next book in the series isn‘t out until September! Can‘t wait.....

I‘m just over three quarters of the way through. This is such a magical middle grade book. Perfect for young readers before starting on Harry Potter. Don‘t want the book to end but I want to find out the answers to all my questions too. I‘ve also just realised I love all the Chapter names too!
