Book 1 - too complicated
Book 2 - mostly rubbish (I think this means there was too much about the owner and not enough about the cars)
Book 3 - good, but you wouldn‘t like it. (Meaning me. Apparently foolish people doing dangerous things again)
Book 4 - excellent, you have to read this. (Which I intend to do!)

Thought I‘d literally #GetOutTheMap for #LilithJuly

Literary dragon-hunting! Here, we're looking for the phrase #herebedragons on old maps, as mentioned in books. Devastatingly...

"The earliest confirmed finding is surprisingly late: a Dorothy L. Sayers short story about a treasure hunt, "The learned adventure of the dragon's head" from 1928 in which a character reports seeing 'hic dracones' on an old map. Perhaps he did. We are the poorer for having failed to find it"

My first read for #nonfictionnovember. The book is just beautiful, and I could pore over the pics for hours! (Wish they were in colour tho) Also learning loads of useless/surprising facts: did you know that "by the 5th century BC, Pythagoras had persuasively argued that the earth was a sphere"? ?

I've been reading this book slowly over the past year and a half and I couldn't have asked for a better vacation/travel read. It's super interesting and informational. My map obsession has never been greater!
