Read this delightful work as a palette cleanser. I really enjoy children's books that treat their audience with dignity, maturity, and respect.

The ultimate bittersweet ending.
Finished my rereading of “Le Petit Prince†after a really long time. And here I am, with my heart completely in pieces. The loneliness, the enchantment, hope and despair is a potent mix.
A beautiful piece of imagination.
Some light reading for tomorrow, after the darkness in today‘s read.
I‘ve been working on my French and decided to read this novella again.

I had to look up a lot of words but thankfully kindle makes it easy. A lovely story, but sad.
Anyone have any recommendations for adult beginner/intermediate French books?

Mon copain m'achêté une copie du Petit Prince en Français!
Whether I will understand it or not is another matter...

Did I read this book 3 times and cry every time?? Yes I did.
“People have forgotten this truth," the fox said. "But you mustn‘t forget it. You become responsible forever for what you‘ve tamed. You‘re responsible for your rose.â€
Thank you @Vansa for this pick!! #trappedonanisland
My anxiety has been on high all day, so I went into this blind, looking for something light-hearted. Well, I‘m in tears again — but at least this is another off my list and a great read!
The story was simple yet complex. The analogies of life and the differences between children and grown ups I felt were very true. As an adult sometimes it feels like the world loses some of its magic when you are doing an everyday routine. Exploring and learning new things is still very important (ex: hobbies and self care.). This book reminded me that it is never to late to keep discovering yourself as a person.

1. Art, polymath, history, iconic
2. Yes, the tagged. I also have Les Fluers du Mal by Charles Baudelaire but I haven‘t tackled it yet
3. All of them! 😆 But right now, probably Storytellers. It‘s on my #12challenge
3. Storyteller by Dave Grohl
No one in their right mind ever tries to buy me books. But my aunt got me fun book themed items when she was in France. â¤ðŸ—¼ðŸ›©
The Little Prince is probably not a children‘s book, but more a teen‘s book, and a book for adults who need to remember the child inside them. A pop-up book is fun for all ages!
The story of how to tame a fox is very important! As is the scary drawing at the beginning.

Who else loves The Little Prince like I do!! 😃🙌
This is a body painting I did a couple of weeks ago inspired on the book! What do you think, guys?!
I would LOVE to keep on creating body paintings or art inspired on books!
✅ If you have any suggestions, post it in the comments! I would love to create something and I‘ll share and give you a shout out! 😃
Everyone should read this story as a child. And then again as an adult. #bookmoods #wordchallege #positivity

Day 218.
Here I will note 365 books (or as many as I will have before I get tired) that have shaped my taste in literature. No explanations, no reviews. Just the cover of the book.
I do not challenge anyone. You are all welcome to take part.
Here‘s my first #MiddleGradeMarch book. It is for the prompt “a book older than me.†I listened to the audiobook and I am so glad I did because the narrator was French which was delightful for me to hear. My father taught me a few words in French, then I studied it in school/college. I loved this book! There were so many good lessons. 18 #BookSpin #23 #BFC22 #AClassicAMonth #ChildrensClassic #ReadYourShelf #MGMarchThroughTime #Buzzwordathon
In our French class, we have to make presentations about French culture and of course, I picked a book as the subject for my presentation. Technically, I didn‘t need to read the book but I‘m so thankful that I did because I loved it. The way it was written was wonderful and though I never read this book as a child, it gave me a strange but great sense of nostalgia.

The writing? Amazing!
“It will be as if, instead of stars, I‘d given you lots of little laughing bells.â€
“The things that matter are invisible.â€
“Eyes are blind. You have to seek with the heart.â€
“You only see clearly with your heart. The most important things are invisible to the eyes.â€
“Any ordinary person walking past my rose would think she was just like you. But she is much more important than all of you put together, because she‘s the one I watered. She‘s the one I sheltered under a glass dome, she‘s the one whose caterpillars I killed (except for the two or three for the butterflies). She‘s the one I listened to complaining, or boasting, or even being silent. Because she‘s my rose.â€
As the little prince continued on his journey, he reflected that all the others - the king, the show-off, the drunkard and the businessman - would look down on this man.
“And yet, he‘s the only person I don‘t find ridiculous. Maybe it‘s because he‘s looking after something other than himself.â€
“If I commanded a general to flit from one flower to another like a butterfly, or to write a tragedy, or to turn into a sea bird, and if the general disobeyed my orders, who would be in the wrong, him or me?â€
“It would be you,†said the little prince with certainty.
“Correct. One must only ask of a person what he can give.â€
“I‘m going to have to cope with a few caterpillars if I want to see butterflies.â€
The world of tears is so unfathomable.

February's rolls for me. I am excited to read The Little Prince with my daughter. We started last night. ðŸ˜
