⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️/5
I finished reading Insurgent yesterday and I absolutely loved it! But I still enjoyed the first book though but Insurgent was still an entertaining read that left you on the edge of your seat, and is such a page turner. I love the characters so very much. Especially Tobias whom is my absolute favorite! He‘s just the best! Also, Tris and Tobias are so very cute and adorable! I highly recommend this gripping trilogy!
My Rating-⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️
★★★★★
“Veronica Roth‘s #1 New York Times bestseller continues the dystopian thrill ride that began in Divergent.”
This book is a must read for those who love Futuristic and/or Dystopian fiction. It has an intricate plot and fantastic setting work while delivering a novel that leaves readers wanting more.
The pacing is too slow and I'm finding Tris too annoying. I'm struggling to continue so I'm giving up and might try again in the future🤦♀️🤷♀️
"Like a wild animal, the truth is too powerful to remain caged."
It‘s also a nice book, but not as the first one. Yes, it‘s entertaining but something is missing in comparison with Divergent.
3✨ I started this a while ago and stopped because I couldn‘t get into it. I picked it up again and was surprised that I stopped. While it has the normal second book curse of being a bit of an info dump to lead you into the third books it was able to increase interest for the next book.
Loved it. Great character development. The writing is great. The little twist thrown in there is great.
Definitely YA again and not as good as the first one in my opinion. A little slower pace and if we‘re being honest, Tris was kind of annoying in this one. She had a bad habit of acting like she was the only one in pain and that irked me. I didn‘t dislike the book but I definitely didn‘t love it either.

“The truth is too powerful to remain caged“
This was a pretty good book. I'd rate it a 6-7/10, only because it was somewhat slower-paced, and I'm not really one for slow-paced books. :D I did really enjoy this, though!
"I think we cry to release the animal parts of us without losing our humanity." (page 341{chapter thirty})

Warning: Unless you want dreams filled with violence and attempts to survive, don‘t read this at bedtime.
Can‘t wait to read the next book in this series! This one leave you wanting more!

As factions attempt to enslave others, a small group begins to hunt for the truth behind the power grab.
Ahhhh! This book was really well done. Even though four and tris were fighting the whole book, I couldn‘t put it down. I loved all of the characters as well.
Insurgent is the second book in my all time favorite series, Divergent. The book continues to follow our main protagonist, Tris, in life or death situations and shows just how selflessly brave she really is. Veronica Roth uses the flaws in human nature to make for a great sequel and a never dying story. Such a great read. 10/10
It's disgusting outside my house. 30s, mist, high wind speeds. Definitely went out in it to the library. I've always wanted to finish this series. I LOVED Divergent so much. Time for the second :)
Overall, I liked Insurgent more than the previous book in its series. I found the political drive of Insurgent very interesting, and though there was less action than in Divergent, I still thought that it had the appropriate amount of action for balancing the plot.
My TBR for the next couple of weeks:
-Insurgent by Veronica Roth
-Allegiant by Veronica Roth
-Paper Towns by John Green
-The Hazel Wood by Melissa Albert
📚Happy reading!📚
If it were not for the side-characters subplots this series would not have survived my shelf.
