Re-reading this just confirms how absolutely brilliant Slaughter is.
Over the years I've thought about this book a lot. How a childhood trauma can shape one's life so drastically that years later you still fear for your life, you actually train yourself that if ever you're in the same situation you will be better prepared.
👇🏻
With Undone, Karin Slaughter weaves together the moving, powerful human stories of three unforgettable characters from her New York Times bestselling novels Faithless and Fractured, who collide for the first time in an electrifying race against the clock—and a duel with unspeakable human evil.
What a ride.I have liked all her books so far. This is 3rd in the Will Trent series, I like how Slaughters “good guys” aren‘t perfect people, struggling with their own issues. The perpetrators are usually pretty violent & evil, not for everyone, for me , this was best in the series so far.

They had been married forty years to the day and Judith still felt like she didn‘t know everything about her husband.
I‘m ready for the weekend. Tired of doing what I should do! Leaving things UNDONE, the call of needing to get to this book , a B&N gift card , & being fed up with this week, I ran to the bookstore ! 😄
Slaughter writes compulsively readable, brutal crime novels. Undone is a slow burn procedural that starts with a truly horrific crime. Will and Faith follow clues, face obstructions from other law enforcement, and deal with personal issues. The graphic details of the crimes were hard to read, but the writing is so good, the characters so alive, that I had to keep going. Sara Linton from the Grant County series crosses over, too.
Karin Slaughter is an impressive writer of detective stories. I have loved every single book I‘ve read and Undone, the third installment of the Will Trent series, did not disappoint! I was so excited that Sara Linton‘s character joined Faith Mitchell and Will Trent.

Fantastic! I live this series and these books are so good I‘m going to be kind of sad when I‘m done. I highly recommend this series. #SeriesLove2023 @Andrew65 @TheSpineView
In the trauma center of Atlanta‘s busiest hospital, Sara Linton treats the poor, wounded, and unlucky and finds refuge from the tragedy that rocked her life. Then, Sara is thrust into a police investigation, coming face-to-face with a tall, driven detective and his female partner. Three unforgettable characters from Karin Slaughter‘s bestselling novels, Faithless and Fractured, collide for the first time, to duel with unspeakable human evil.
Bk6 of #JumpStart2023 & Bk2 of #JoyousJanuary #readathon is done. Took me longer than I expected as I‘ve been doing Nanna duties(school holidays🙃).One of my favorite Will Trent books, it brings Will & Sara together in Atlanta. It‘s also one of her more gruesome murders(cringeworthy), with an unexpected killer. 4.5⭐️ #BookspinBingo #SeriesLove2023 #NoBuy2023Bingo #Pop23 #ReadItAgainSam #BacklistReadathon #CloakDaggerChal
I can't wait to read this one! 😁 Sounds so exciting!
Book number 4 from my 12 days of Christmas crime/thriller book advent! 🥰
For an abridged audio, I thought this was pretty good. This one was tough to read in some parts, but I thought it was better written than a previous one by Slaughter I read a few months ago.

Another great read in the series. This one is pretty dark and gross at times but you kind of expect that with the author. She really digs into the gritty dark side. We also meet Sara Linton which is good. Having read later ones I was looking forward to this. The plot is steady and builds to the expected dramatic climax. I didn't figure out the killer. Poor Will he's always getting hurt. That man has more lives than a cat. 4*
This was my April #doublespin. It has been a long time since I last read a Karin Slaughter and I thought I was a bit done with thrillers. But this was a very good read, the book kept me engaged until the end. I've really enjoyed the plot. It was fast paced and I enjoyed all the characters.
I'm now looking forward to other books of her.
TBR since ?; 539 pages.

-I love unreliable narrators. When executed well, obviously. But I think our own point of view skews our perception, and substance abuse/trauma/mental health issues can certainly skew further. I feel it rings true and can add more depth.

-favorite series is for sure Will Trent, I recommend all things Slaughter.

Although I was on the fence after the first two books in this series, I'm now all in and can't wait to start the next one.
A familiar Slaughter character, Sara Linton, joins the group in this installment. I was a big fan of the dynamic created between Sara and Will Trent. Faith's character gets developed a lot more in this book as well.
Gritty, intense read that kept me engaged. 💚

I love the storyline! It's been so long since the last time I feel alive by reading a book. It captured my whole existence. You will fall in love with the characters, there are times that you'll hate them to the extent that you want to strangle them. Because they're annoying. But I think, that's what makes a book so engrossing. You'll feel strong emotions. Karin did a great job.
🌟🌟🌟🌟🌟
Her books are bold, imaginative and filled with violence. The mystery that she creates is amazing, the characters are flawed and men are almost always evil. I was hooked from the very first chapter and it was hard to figure out who the culprit was. This book is definitely not for the faint hearted, it contains graphic violence which is hard to read sometimes.I believe Slaughter is one of boldest writers out there.
I enjoyed the 3rd installment in the Will Trent series. There was a lot of personal drama with Will and Faith. I loved the addition of Sara and look froward to reading her books someday. I did feel the books was a little longer than needed but overall I‘d give it ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

Another excellent installment in the Will Trent series. Karin Slaughter remains a master in this genre and I'm looking forward to reading the rest of her books.
I‘m starting to enjoy the Will Trent character. With his flaws he seems so real and someone that you‘d want to have on your side. I loved getting to see Sara Linton again. I‘ve always enjoyed her and I‘m looking forward to seeing what happens! 🌟🌟🌟🌟 Karin Slaughter is the master!
So happy to get my hold in for this book so early! Diving right in! 🤗
Book number 8 for my year and I know how dark Karen Slaughter can get in these stories sooo I‘m trying to decide if I should even try to sleep or just stay up and read? It‘s 4:45am and I still can‘t sleep ugggh at least I have a book 🤓🤷🏻♀️
Spectacular!!! I ❤️ Will Trent - such a fascinating, complex, and original character. I can't wait to see what happens next!
PS: in case you haven't heard, you should DEFINITELY finish the Grant County series before starting Will Trent. There's crossover in a way that I can't explain without spoilers. Trust me 😆
Loved this!

went to the local library to get a new card, and detoured to the book sale- bought a few Slaughter‘s (including tagged) as gifts. Success. I never realized how advanced and modern this location is... mini-computers, arts and crafts, large dvd collection, cds, loads of kids programs, and most importantly #seedrentals 👌🏼🤓
Fantastic thriller. Enjoying the relationship between Will and Faith; wonderful character development that doesn't feel forced.

There was a lot going on in this book, especially with the reintroduction of Sara Linton. I enjoyed it. Not sure yet how I feel about the possible love connection between Will & Sara.
Oh and Angie is the WORST PERSON EVER.
