Bk4 of May is done. I started to read the 7th in this series & realised I couldn‘t remember the previous books! Stupid Covid brain fog. So I‘m rereading all of them, thank god they‘re novellas! This was just as wonderful as the first time I read it in 2016. A unique take on the portal fantasy, it‘s about the children who return & are cut adrift from both worlds. Bk2 of May is done. I‘m really hoping this means my mojo is coming back, but I‘ve prob just jinxed it! The 1st in a YA duology by a BIPOC author, it features an LGBTQ+ & BIPOC cast in a mythology/magical retelling of the Medea story involving poison gardens & earth magic. Bk10 of #JumpStart2023 is done! Probably the last book of this month too. It‘s really bk11 as I reread the audiobook of Dune while I was recovering over the weekend, but I thought reading it twice in a month was too much☺️Loved this just as much as the 1st time I read it, was crying at the end as well, must be feeling soft from feeling like shit. Bk5 of #JumpStart2023 & Bk1 of #JoyousJanuary #readathon is done! The 2nd in the Will Trent series, this is the book the new tv series is based on. I enjoyed this much more than Triptych, there‘s more Will & Faith joins the cast. I just wanna give Will a big hug! GBI is called to a scene as a favor to the governor. Bk4 of #JumpStart2023 is done! A reread, it‘s the 1st in her Will Trent series & was just as fabulous the 2nd time round. I‘d call it Trent 0.5 really as he‘s not the MC of the book, it‘s told from multiple POVs including his, Angie‘s & another Atlanta cop.
