This book takes the conversation about repro rights and turns it on its head. That‘s a telling pun. Every abortion can be prevented by one thing—men acting responsibly. The author makes a book-length listicle (list+article). I enjoyed her audiobook narration and book content so much that I grabbed the ebook right after finishing a library audiobook.
panClingy, self-obsessed woman vomits repetitive, uninspired cliches about her breakup. [The guy obviously dodged a bullet.] This somehow goes on for over 200 pages. Also weirdly trying to be a breakup workbook, possibly for page padding purposes. Should have stayed an instagram project.

I appreciate Whitehead‘s way of making the reader face the violence & difficult truths without having to wallow in the darkness. I thought this was well written & enjoyed the idea of a literal Underground Railroad taking Cora from one place to the next. However, I did find it harder to stay engrossed when the sections moved from Cora‘s story to one of the minor characters. 4⭐️ Overall I think I liked The Nickel Boys better.
pickI really enjoyed this book. I especially loved catching up with some old friends from It. Because of course King can't help connecting his books. Jake discovers a way back in time. So he goes back to try to stop the Kennedy assassination.
