I have been wanting to read The Sun Does Shine since reading Just Mercy a few years ago. I shelved Walk the Blue Fields this week to save for #10. I do not read many short story collections as a rule. These all sound great today but who know which will make the cut come Spring.
It snowed Sunday and Monday!!! But then the sun came out yesterday and this bloom popped back to life!! Hopeful that the sun will stick around for a while!

so-soI am somewhat dissatisfied with this novella (long short story?). I liked the characters and the narrative arc, but right at the end an entire handful of glimpses is thrown at you and I want to know more about those! I feel like there‘s more here. #readaroundtheworld #Australia
pickNot really a ghost story the way you think if it, but interesting tale that includes sometimes funny/biting social observations, the seeming culture war between Melbourne and Sydney, and a small mystery. It also manages to examine how a relationship changes and how individuals change. Blink and you might miss it. The layout of the book is very pretty, with entire pages of flowers drawings.
Some audiobook and spring cleaning this morning! It's a bit chilly with the window open but it's starting to smell like spring and I couldn't resist!

pickYAS! What a powerful little book! Not only is the cover stunning and the book flaps and the pages too! But the actual story- my goodness so much to examine and discuss. Labeled "ghost story" consider the term "ghost" very broadly. Love love love it!
