13 posts | 20 read | 6 to read
The smoldering heat, epic romance, and awesome action* of Nalini Singhs New York Times bestselling series continues as two Arrows find themselves caught in a chilling conspiracy that spans all three races Awakening wounded in a darkened cell, their psychic abilities blocked, Aden and Zaira know they must escape. But when the lethal soldiers break free from their mysterious prison, they find themselves in a harsh, inhospitable landscape far from civilization. Their only hope for survival is to make it to the hidden home of a predatory changeling pack that doesnt welcome outsiders. And they must survive. A shadowy enemy has put a target on the back of the Arrow squad, an enemy that cannot be permitted to succeed in its deadly campaign. Aden will cross any line to keep his people safe for this new future, where even an assassin might have hope of a life beyond blood and death and pain. Zaira has no such hope. She knows shes too damaged to return from the abyss. Her driving goal is to protect Aden, protect the only person who has ever come back for her no matter what. This time, even Adens passionate determination may not be enoughbecause the emotionless chill of Silence existed for a reason. For the violent, and the insane, and the irreparably brokenlike Zaira.*Jaci Burton,New York Timesbestselling author

This one was really long, I assume because it was two Arrows and they just need more lead up to pair off. It was great to learn more about Aden, and for the new Coalition to tackle a big problem together.

My copy, which I've never read, was falling apart, so I ended up getting it from the library. 🙄😳

This book jumped right in, and just kept going!

It was nice to learn more about the Arrow Squad, and Aden is such a great leader. The changes he wants to make to the training of new recruits and trying to make the Arrows a family unit is a powerful symbol of the changes occurring in the Psy-net.

Aden puts the squad first, but with the tides changing in the net, he needs someone to stand beside him, and Arrow commander Zaira may be the one 💕

I'm supposed to be packing for our trip to Chicago, but instead I finished this book in one sitting! Such a great addition to the series. Aden and Zaria are wonderful characters and watching their relationship grow was great. I love seeing the psy dealing with emotions - it makes me a little emotional😀#romantsy #paranormalromance

Bookworm54 I haven't read this yet, but I am so excited to reach it! I'm currently on Bonds of Justice (my least fave) and have only read up to Heart of Obsidian. Soon! ❤️ 8y

“Whether we bond or not, your loss would change me forever.” A quiet voice that held so much power it vibrated with it. “You are written indelibly on my soul, Zaira. Nothing will ever alter what you are to me.”

Aden may be quiet, but whew...who wouldn't want someone to feel like that about them?

I love when the Psy discover new things or have new experiences. I read with this silly grin on my face.

Finding a happy place to read at lunch. Starting a Nalini Singh book should be done with a moment to center ones self.
