I always think of this book as being Faith's, her background, her story. But after this re-listen I realise it's so much more. It's Evelyn's story, and Amanda's and a excellent stepping stone for the next book.

Slaughter is an absolute master at character development!

There‘s no police training stronger than a cop‘s instinct. Faith Mitchell‘s mother isn‘t answering her phone. Her front door is open. There‘s a bloodstain above the knob. Her infant daughter is hidden in a shed behind the house. All the GBI taught Faith goes out the window when she charges into her mother‘s house, gun drawn. She sees a man dead in the laundry room. She sees a hostage situation in the bedroom. What she doesn‘t see is her mother.

I am completely hooked on this Will Trent series! Karin Slaughter is a masterful storyteller with complex, likable characters. I couldn‘t be happier that Sara Linton, from the Grant County series, is a part of these stories. She is my favorite character, in any series, for her strength, compassion, and perseverance. Fallen is the fifth book in the series and I was immediately mesmerized by the story.

Karin Slaughter writes a really good thriller. This installment of the Will Trent series gives us more insight into Evelyn Mitchell and the entire Mitchell family, and more examples of Amanda Wagner‘s all around badassery. It sadly gives us more psycho Angie. Book Angie is so much worse than TV Angie. Anywho…I love Will Trent the TV show and I love the books even more. Slaughter has skills.

Bk11 of July & Bk3 of #JubilantJuly #readathon is done. I started to read the Riley Sager, honest, but Will & Sara were on my mind.So I totally disregarded my ridiculous TBR & went back to my reread of their novels. This is one of my faves, Faiths mother is kidnapped & so Amanda goes into Holy Vengeance mode to get her back. It‘s also the 1st time Will & Sara happen & we get the backstory of Evelyn‘s drug squad. #BookspinBingo #SeriesLove2023

These books are so good! I love the story line and the characters are truly interesting (some maddeningly so). I go through them so quickly because I don‘t want to stop listening. I‘ll be sad when the series ends. #SeriesLove2023 @Andrew65 @TheSpineView

Book swap finds from this time last week. I had to go to the doctors to pick up my certificate for the week I had off because of this darn cold I‘ve got so I couldn‘t help a look while at the mall. Normally I walk home but these were so heavy I took the tram.

As a huge fan of the Will Trent series, there is bound to be a book that isn‘t as strong as the rest. I still flew through it but it‘s one of the less interesting installments

Perfect way to spend a lazy Saturday! I enjoyed getting to know Faith a bit better and hope this is the last we see of Angie. 😒

Even though I am reading these books out of order, I have no problem with picking up on the characters and their relationships! Love the character of Will Trent!

In this book, Faith‘s mother Evelyn has been kidnapped while watching Faith‘s daughter. Will, Faiths FBI partner, and Sara Linton, trauma doctor, must work together to rescue Evelyn before it is too late. But is this too personal of a case for Faith to work on this time?

Book 5 in the Will Trent Series and they only get better, loved this from beginning to end and a brilliant story. On a personal level everything changed for Will in this series, and interested to see where Karin takes this. This is a wonderful series and can not recommend it highly enough, but do read the Grant County Series first.

4/5 ⭐ Full of action! The story about Evelyn and Faith. Mitchell's Family. It makes sense now. And more of Will's side story. I still hate faith, but I like her mother, and AMANDA too. I'm happy with the ending. I still wish that ANGIE will die. lol Excited for the next installment!

I am so keen to get onto criminal! Will Trent still reigning king as my all time fave fictional character! Best series.

This hasn‘t been my favorite in the Will Trent series but that doesn‘t mean much. I feel like we were finally able to see him vocalize his wants and also be a stronger GBI agent than he‘s been in the past. Karin Slaughter, you know how to hook someone and not let them go! 💕⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

Getting some reading in while walking on the treadmill before my 9:30 small group training class comes in! 😀

Fallen is the 5th Will Trent book (I had started with book 6 accidentally), and I really enjoyed the glimpse of Amanda and Evelyn's past and how it might tie to Will. Also, this is the book where Will and Sara FINALLY get together, which deserves a million stars. There's also kidnapping, gangs, secrets, super ahole brothers, and my favorite chihuahua, Betty, who is also on TeamSara.

Her books just get better and better, the Will Trent series is SO FREAKING GOOD (but again - read Grant County first! 😉).

My only problem now is that I'm dogsitting for the next week and kicking myself HARD for leaving the rest of this series at home 😭. I may have to make an emergency trip to BK. I don't think I can wait. Ha!

Another great book to read by the pool. Karin Slaughter always keeps up the pace and keeps me turning the pages. Her characters are real, flawed complicated people.

This was such a great driving companion! The narrator was terrific, and we got some great backstory on Will and Faith. For all y'all Will Trent fans out there, this is a must read!

During long drives, I am so grateful for audiobooks. And FALLEN by Karin Slaughter definitely helped keep me awake during the 11 hour drive to my parents' house!
