Lahaina Public Library | 
For those of you requesting updates on the Maui/Lahaina wildfires, it remains pretty horrific. Last night the death toll rose to 36 & there are many serious injuries & burns. The worst were airlifted to Oahu. They are also evacuating tourists to Oahu & are housing them at the convention center here & asking that no new visitors come to save resources needed for residents.
At work we finally heard from the 2 unaccounted for employees & they are ⬇️
DebinHawaii … safe.🙏🏼 3 employees & 1 recent retiree lost their homes. Our Lahaina location is a bit of an unknown but we have some distance pictures & reports that it‘s still standing but it will be time before damages can be assessed. The photos are arial shots of the Lahaina Bayan Court Park area. The top is from 6/25/23 & the bottom from yesterday 8/9/23. DebinHawaii All are verified as legit although there are other good legit places too- just check them out as people do bad things & scams sadly. I am donating to a couple of these & also through work & my local grocery store chain & donating so of my Hawaiian Air miles for Red Cross volunteers to come help.
