I spent too much time reading newer book to get much of a climb done this year. But I have set the same goal. 36.

Part of this is that I don‘t count picture books.

I managed 100 of the pledged 150 books. Not bad at all.

With all the books I bought and was gifted this year, I can aim for 150 again next year.

I've decided not to abide by any main challenge prompts in 2018 (though they are going in my #bujo so I can cross off what I end up doing serendipitously) and instead trying to read the most books I'm really excited about possible. But I will do a #MountTBR for books I own--these are the books I own I'd like to try in 2018. I own a lot more but there are too many I don't own that I'm dying to read for them to make the cut. 🗻🗻🗻🗻🗻📚

Captain Adorable and I brought books, trucks, and lunch to the top of Mt. Mansfield. Spent hours up there and had to promise him a snack to get him to leave.

If recently published books that I put on my #TBR before they got on the market count, then I've reached #MtKilimanjaro.

Not to mention I've managed to finish my Goodreads Reading Challenge. I should stop being cautious and increase the number of books I intend to read.

Somehow I got talked into taking a mountaineering class this year and today's reading was about learning to self-arrest. 😱😱😱 Oh my God. I'm probably going to die. #pictureworthathousandwords
