There have been several great author meet and book signings in Ohio recently, and I have missed them all. 😠 I found out that Maggie Stiefvater is going to be in Dayton this Monday evening! The Main branch of the Dayton Metro Library is huge. It will be great to finally check it out.

I love all the ways people are interpreting #fictionlove for day 5 of #17booklove! I decided to go with my 5 star fiction reads of 2016 & 2017 so far. Clearly I'm turning into a Ben Aaronovitch fan girl, since 3 of the Rivers of London series made the cut!

Words actually cannot express how much I truly love these books. The characters are like family, the mythology is intoxication, the writing is superb, and Blue is impossibly relatable.
If you like stories where a band of misfits becomes a family, obscure mythology, or beautiful words that stay in your head, this is for you.
I cannot recommend highly enough.
If there's one book you take a chance on, let it be The Raven Boys.

How I feel right now too.

This was an unusual and unexpected series. The characters are lovable and I'll remember them for some time. Ronan has his own room in the book boyfriend chamber of my heart. There were enough loose ends at the conclusion of this series that I don't feel satisfied. I could use a Raven Boys novella...or newsletter. I'd take a status update. Throw me a bone, Stiefvater.

Finished. The story is at an end, and I am trying to figure out exactly how I feel about it. Catching my breath, too, because this last volume was not unlike traveling at breakneck speed on a rollercoaster... in the dark. It was exciting, unnerving, suspenseful — but sometimes the characters' voices got choked a little in the process. I didn't enjoy it as much as books 2 and 3 in the series, but it was a satisfying and fitting last chapter.

I wanted to read the series again but realized I ain't got time for that...
I have loved this series and hope this last one pulls it all together for me.

Honestly the best trilogy I've read in a long time and actually kicked my previous favourite down a notch. So amazing 10/10 a little slow to start, but once you get in it's hard to stop.

Welp.. Here's the thing: there were things i absolutely loved about this book, but there were things i absolutely did not love too. I feel like the story ended with TOO MANY loose ends. Characters that vanish into thin air, like Noah. Dude, NOAH. The story is good but, for me, it wasn't a satisfactory ending of a series. Also, there are a couple of racist lines that I didn't like at all. OTOH Adam & Ronan were everything. I wish i'd liked it more

Screaming with excitement!!!! The Raven Cycle returns!!!

Richard Gansey III had forgotten how many times he had been told he was destined for greatness.

I'm so in love with Blue, her Raven Boys, and their kingdom. Maggie Stiefvater took great imaginative risks in this series, and it paid off with an unforgettable world and story.

Adam smiled cheerily. Ronan would start wars and burn cities for that true smile, elastic and amiable.

One of my favorite series; it was a lot creepier than I expected and I'll probably reread it every fall! @Litsy #24in48
