Sticking with my #HospitalCeiling series on Instagram, here‘s a shot of my recovery room after my cholecystectomy. That wasn‘t fun spending a week in the hospital, or dropping 12 lbs in 7 days, but I‘m glad to be rid of my diseased gallbladder. I read a little while in the hospital, unfortunately the pain was a little too intense for anything more than binge-watching the Food Network and seeing all the foods I cannot eat for many months.

Eff you, gallbladder. It‘s either you or me but I have healthcare insurance so you‘ve got to go.

If you ever find yourself living in NYC and have your 16-month old son split his nose open, the pediatric emergency department at Weill Cornell on the UES is the most incredible group of practitioners and caregivers I have ever encountered in an emergency room. And certainly handled both our son and his first-time parents with compassion and expert healthcare.

I love this book!!! I AM a nerd and love the human body and all the ways of how we work. In school Anatomy was my favorite class I always had fun learning all the bones and the muscles ! It fascinates me how much detail we have inside!!

This Barnes and noble edition is beautiful, thr illustrations are amazing I can look through this for hours and not get bored 🤓🔬

When I started my engineering programs, my Dad gave me his copy of The Standard Handbook for Mechanical Engineering from even he was in school.
