I enjoyed it so much. Expecting our first kid in two weeks and I have so many things to take away from this read. I asked my partner to also read it because I want to keep our relationship a happy&strong one even when the baby arrives and this book has a lot of food for thought 🙏🫶 #janceedunn #hownottohateyourhusbandafterkids

Finally feeling up to a little bit of reading since baby Hank‘s arrival… although my book choices look a little different these days 😆

IamIamIam Congratulations!!! 👏👏👏 3y

emilyhaldi Oh yes @merelybookish sleep trumps all!! It is amazing though how the body can function on so little sleep isn‘t it? 😅 3y
merelybookish @emilyhaldi Absolutely! And you'll sleep again...someday! 🤞 3y
Leftcoastzen Awww!so sweet ! 3y
Laughterhp Congrats! I love the title of that book. 3y

saresmoore So, maybe I‘m in the cynical phase of starting a grad program with a sporadically sleeping 1yo, but I call bullshit on both of those titles. 😜 But seriously, congratulations!!! 3y
emilyhaldi @saresmoore that‘s a fair assessment… however desperate times call for desperate measures 😂 3y
saresmoore Amen to that! Best wishes for health, happiness, and rest to the three of you! ♥️♥️♥️ 3y

3.5 stars - I thought this would be more comedic than self-help, but alas I was wrong. That said, there were some funny parts mixed in and I did take away a few helpful pointers.

No, I don‘t hate John. But I‘m a firm believer of “if it‘s not broken” it still needs maintenance!!

It was really great. I highly recommend it. The author offered REAL insight with facts and interviews from the pros in a funnier way than any other self help book I‘ve come across. She kept the hard stuff light hearted without demeaning the subjects.

This book might save my marriage! Loved the practical advice backed by expert opinions and sociological studies. Highly recommend the audio book narrated by the author as well. She‘s hilarious.

It‘s amazing just how much your life changes after having kids! This book had a lot of helpful information about how to keep the peace with your significant other once babies come into the picture. The above quote is so funny and so true! 😅👆🏻😂👶🏻🤣 4⭐️

Great book. Actionable stuff in here and a reminder that dads are parents too, not just “helping out!”

I'm pretty sure most moms I know could read this and nod their heads in agreement the entire time. Dunn manages to blend humor and research together in her nonfiction book about the roles husbands and wives fall into after they have children.

Left my current read at home... thank god I work in a library or I would lost!! I don't hate my husband or have worries that I might, but I thought this would be a funny read!

BookishMarginalia Cool cover! 7y
Reviewsbylola My friend was telling me about this one! 7y
Laru79 It's funny so far, I think there'll be lots of nodding along as I go through! But so far, I'm realising I'm lucky with the husband I found! 7y

I'm not much for marriage advice or parenting books (none of us really know what we're doing in either case, right?) But I've had this one recommended to me a couple times, and I'm thinking of picking it up. Gotta love that title.

My husband is a rarity...we split housework and childcare evenly. He cooks for our family, is in charge of the yard work, and does the bills among many other tasks. I'm very lucky to have a partner. All of that said, this book offers awesome advice to (specifically) mothers on how to better relationships and communication. Change is often necessary for both parties in order to establish a lifestyle to benefit the whole family. So much truth here.

Bambolina_81 This one might just have to go on the stack...as an ebook though, don't want anyone upset if it's left lying round the house 😂 8y
Chelsea.Poole @Bambolina_81 lol! My husband saw the title and was like "what the heck?!" I assured him I don't hate him ;) 8y
