so-soMaybe it is because I chose to listen to Warcross instead of read it, but I just could not get into this book. The concept and the world were very cool, but the love interest felt forced in order to push the conflict of the book. I don‘t feel great about this read, but maybe you will feel differently. so-soIf you like books that are full of virtual reality and science...then this a book you can enjoy. This exiting novel adventures into how a young girl named Emika Chen rounds into war cross, the game that brings virtual reality to life. One day when she hakes into war cross she experiences that her identity has been revealed and shockingly she gets a call from Hideo Tanaka the inviter of war cross. The tone of the book would be suspense.
pickThis book was an interesting premise and I liked the high tech fantastical world, reminiscent of Ender's Game and Ready Player One, this had its own flair. I didn't see the twist towards the end and immediately jumped into the second of this duology.

pickThis was so fun. A little out there with the tech explanations (but i work in tech so I have an unfair opinion) and predictable but in a good way. It was fun and I can't wait to read the sequel!

Read this for #booked2019 #socialmediafocus - the story centres around the Neurolink, a system used by almost everyone to communicate, purchase things, play games, and of course for social media!

pickI liked this book. It was darker than I expected in some ways and a little more adult than I thought it was going to be. It definitely made me think of Ready Player One in a lot of ways, but it brought it‘s unique ideas to the table and made a really interesting story.
pickSecond book finished for #deweys24hourreadathon and I LOVED it. If you liked Ready Player One or Warcraft, you will enjoy this book too. Cool thing is that even if you don‘t game you‘ll understand this book. Word or warning, have the sequel on hand when you finish! (Guest appearance by Cleo.)

This will be the first book I‘ll read for tomorrow‘s #deweys24hourreadathon Also have “Warcross” and “Girls made of Snow and Glass” as physical books. Have “The City in the Middle of the Night” by Charlie Jane Anders on audio queued up, “Check, Please! Year One” on my iPad, and “The Summer of Jordi Perez” on my Nook. Snacks ready, water bottles filled, kitten napping, wife set with pizza for the weekend. Let‘s sleep to wake early!
pickEnrapturing. Another brilliant book by Marie Lu - I enjoyed this incredibly detailed dystopian nearly as much as the last. I love the futuristic, sci-fi feeling of the world with the NeuroLink (and upgrades with the personal links), and the danger of how far his technology ends up going. I was equally as taken by Hideo as Emika was, and the twist at the end was unlike I expected.

This months statistics! I think I did much better than last month - and the number of pages isn't even including all the articles that I read for school! I'd say I read upwards of 1k pages - which makes me so happy! I'm committed to completing 50 books this year. So far, I'm up to three! so-soAn enjoyable read. I didn‘t like the writing much, or rather there was some things I found were not thought out well. Like when Emika was in the karaoke room and sneaked out and suddenly she had her skateboard with her 🤔. And I don‘t know what to think about the ending! My guess on who Zero was was right, but I don‘t know why that other plot twist made me feel uncomfortable and disappointed. Will probably read book 2, but not anytime soon.
-4 this morning though the snow has stopped for now. Kicking off the reading with Warcross, then heading back to the Kalahari. Drink: a Cinnamon Toast Me with rum chata, vanilla vodka, milk, and cereal garnish. Oh and some oatmeal with blueberries 😋
pickAnother title finished for #battleofthebooks season! I listened to most of this book and enjoyed it! I didn‘t have any idea what it was about when I started and am glad I didn‘t because I might not have picked it otherwise - there‘s enough technology in my life already! Ha!
so-soI love how all the technology works in this book especially the neurolink, love how you can view the normal world and the virtual world simultaneously.
Plus the warcross games is very exciting and would love to play.

pickAfter a week of school and reading, I finished it. This book is really amazing!! It's based on the future, where the obsession in the game called warcross continued in the entire globe. The characters are awesome, their personalities are great and I ❤ the rainbow hair of Emika Chen🌈 I didn't expect the ending of this story and I don't want it to end like that so I need the sequel #wildcard. End up loving it💕❤

pickJust finished this, and wow! I can‘t believe it took me so long to read it. It‘s packed with action, futuristic technology, a cast of interesting characters, and plenty of passion. Very glad I did this buddy read with @innah96
