#GratefulReads Day 19: This is definitely a case of #ClassicYouEnjoyed. Special shout out to #ScreamsByMail book club member @ephemeralwaltz for always choosing classic horror reads!
While visiting my parents in their new town in CA, I discovered that they hadn‘t yet found a little bookstore to call their own. Well, I obviously had to fix that! (Tagged book is one I picked up while there. Because obviously I needed more things to pack. #noregrets )
#HorrorPostalBookClub #ScreamsByMail title heading out to you @kamoorephoto as selected by the fab @ephemeralwaltz
I must have spent more time asking my teenage daughter to take photos of me “reading” than actually reading!! 🤦🏽♀️🧚🏼♀️💕📚 Missing Bali already.

Photo taken by my teenage daughter. One of my faves. @ephemeralwaltz I failed to finish reading this #screamsbymail title while in Bali. Too distracted. 🤦🏽♀️🤣Hopefully while at the airport today? We shall see. 🤞🏼
#AMonthOfSongs Day 22: I am not #homesick for Singapore yet. Last three days in this gorgeous, magical place. Bali is 💕.
Reading corner today.

Halfway through our vacation. 5th Day in Bali.
I am in the last few chapters of Erotic Stories for Punjabi Widows and eager to begin my second book here in Bali for our #ScreamsByMail #HorrorPostalBookClub and #WomenReadWomen2019. Our private villa has an in-house chef who makes the most mouth-watering dishes. Truly delicious.
My #ScreamsByMail #HorrorPostalBookClub greeted me when I got back home from Bandung. @scripturient it is here! First homemade meal prepared by ze husband - salmon and baked cheesy potatoes for Saturday lunch.
I got my #horrorgoespostal book from @ephemeralwaltz today. Looking forward to reading it. :) And thank you so much for the beautiful Bartleby tote bag, Clara. ❤️❤️❤️❤️
Missing Christmas already! This was my last read of 2018. I picked it up for my #horrorpost bookclub, excited to read more of Jackson's fiction. However, I don't think this works well as a horror novel but it still is dark and mysterious and intriguing. An in-depth exploration of mental health and human relationships surrounding a young woman with multiple personality disorder. As always, Jackson's writing is just superb!
⭐⭐⭐⭐
I despised all the characters, the character changes of the chapters seemed poorly thought out and the story overall seemed to try and blend the horror story always imposed on DID with the 'medical' ramblings of the psych. And I get it was 1950s but I dont really know why Jackson bothered with most of the doctor's chapter.
Saturday night 🔥
#31bookpics | Day 15 #BookClub
I decided on this as my next pick for my postal book club, #ScreamsByMail - we're doing a "Women In Horror" theme! I can't call myself a big Jackson fan until I dive into more of her work.

Mini independent bookstore book haul. I couldn't resist The Italian Party. That cover! #talkingleavesbookstore #bookhaul
Oh man, this is how I‘d like to spend all of my days. Simple moments like these make me excited to get married next week!
LOVED this. But now I only have one Shirley Jackson novel left that I haven't read yet 😭.
I found out about this from reading 'Let Me Tell You' . Checked to see if there was a DVD and found this. Can't wait to watch it.
20 pages in and loved it from the first page. Not surprising, since Shirley Jackson is one of my favorite authors. (I hope I'm using this correctly)
