Ok, here‘s my picks for #CampLitsy23. There are SO many books this year I want to read, so this was tough! I am super excited for all of these, though. (Litsy says The Dance Tree came out in 2022, but it came out in March and thus fits the criteria.)

squirrelbrain Yay - I‘ve been waiting for your picks - great choices! 2y
Bookwormjillk There are so many new releases I‘m excited for this year! 2y
BarbaraBB Super choices. I was thinking of nominating the Crosby too! 2y

sarahbarnes Yes! The Late Americans is on my list, too! 2y
Christine Good ones! 2y
jlhammar Yes! I want to read all of these! 2y
Caroline2 Oh oh oh I completely forgot about dance tee! Dying to read that. Thanks for nominating! 😀 2y
TheKidUpstairs Dance Tree was excellent. Great choices! 2y
BarbaraBB @Chelsea.Poole voting will be a bitch 😱 2y
Megabooks I am excited about the Abbott and already have a library hold in! I still have not read a Crosby despite having this on my shelf. Maybe this summer will be the time!! 2y
Hooked_on_books @Megabooks oh my gosh, you must read him immediately! He‘s so good! And I‘m at the point with Abbott that I don‘t even read the description. I‘ll read whatever she publishes. 2y
Hooked_on_books @BarbaraBB You‘re not kidding! I have no idea how I‘ll manage to vote. So many great options! 2y
Hooked_on_books @TheKidUpstairs @Caroline2 @Soubhiville I was looking ahead to books not published so much that I nearly forgot The Dance Tree. Once I realized I‘ve been excited for it but haven‘t picked it up yet, I had to add it to my list! 2y
Hooked_on_books @Christine @jlhammar @Bookwormjillk Thanks! So many exciting books are coming this spring! 2y
Hooked_on_books @squirrelbrain Thanks! I managed to miss the original post, so I‘m glad to be in the thick of it now. So many interesting books are being nominated. 2y
squirrelbrain I‘ve never read Cosby either @Megabooks - maybe we should both rectify that this summer, but will we have time with all these other fabulous books to read?! 2y
Chelsea.Poole @Megabooks the audio narration for Cosby‘s two that I read was AMAZING. definitely added to my reading experience (edited) 2y

My absolute favorite camp menu included a watermelon bday cake and vegan charcuterie board. #litsysummercamp

ImperfectCJ We didn't have it for camp, but both my kids celebrated their first birthdays with watermelon "cake". 3y
HeathHof Yum🤩 3y
DivineDiana I absolutely love both choices! #vegan 3y
Laughterhp Ooo a watermelon cake 😍 3y

Day 2: This is the view from my front porch where I will be spending this week. Did you ever sleep out on your front porch as a kid? #LITSYSUMMERCAMP

ImperfectCJ So green! Gorgeous! We didn't really have a porch growing up, but we did sleep out in the back yard under the stars a few times. 3y
AmyG We slept in our backyard once…in a tent. Too many mosquitoes so we never did it again. 3y

1. I‘m not super outdoorsy so definitely cabin or hotel. Let‘s go with cabin here
2. Camp Escape - I‘m back to being in the office a couple days this week and I‘m counting on this being a bit of escape from reality
3. Completely blanking on this. I did think of HP & the Deathly Hallows because I just saw a joke the other day it‘s mostly about them camping 😂
4. Finish The Whisper Man and start an audiobook

#litsysummercamp @ImperfectCJ

ImperfectCJ I would definitely go camping more if I could go camping HP-style! (Minus the Death Eaters and horcruxes.) Great to have you at camp this week! I hope it provides you a little of the escape you're looking for! 3y

So my husband said he wants a vacation and we should go camping because he‘s never been... I used to go with the family all the time... I just don‘t think he‘s ready for the outdoors 👀😳🕷...🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣

JacqMac I went camping all the time when I was a kid. My hubby and I went once. In our 25 years together. We both learned he is not a camper. 😂 6y
Kaye I grew up camping. My parents took me when I was 6 months old, and we went all through my growing up years. We also went after we had kids , but haven‘t gone in a few years now. 6y
Cathythoughts We went camping for the summer hollidays for years. Great times , kids full on ... the last few years our tents got really wet ( bad weather) ... we had happy days camping... it was a lovely time in our lives ❤️💔. Now I want a nice hotel with a view & where I can read ... I still might take my granddaughter camping! For old times sake ! 6y

Redwritinghood As a former farm girl, I just don‘t get camping - why would you want to sleep outside? I got enough outside on a daily basis that camping never appealed to me. (edited) 6y
Ddzmini @JacqMac @Kaye @Cathythoughts yes my uncle and aunt used to load up the all the kids and whatever adults wanted to go and we would go in there RV every year for a month it was like a family thing so they all planned it. Then is kids would sleep outside we had a blast fished swim joked told ghost stories best times 😋 6y
Ddzmini @Redwritinghood I get it after we moved out by my grandmother which was in the country it was oh we are just moving from one country area to another but it was still fun because we where all together. Now I would probably prefer a nice room even if it‘s no internet as long as I have a chair to read in 😋 6y
