bailedI loved Hawley‘s Before the Fall, so I thought I‘d go back and read his debut, but frankly, it‘s a mess. I‘m about 1/3 through and can‘t take anymore. The premise is intriguing, but it‘s bloated with unnecessary exposition and scenes that don‘t contribute to the story. Good to know that he learned and grew, so I‘ll stick with his later books.
so-soMy first #LMPBC and I‘ve enjoyed all the books read. This literary thriller was suspenseful yet very dense in places. Linus Owen is a professor of conspiracy theories and married to Claudia. One day at work, Linus is informed that his wife has been killed on the way to Brazil. With the help of two friends, Linus embarks on a search across the country asking questions he needs answering. An Interesting read.
