This is the 8th book in the Pendergast series. In this one, there is an evil artifact, a cruise ship that is about to crash and Pendergast to save the day. Loved it 🧡

A mysterious, mystical antiquity is stolen from a Tibetan monastery and secreted onto a lavish ocean liner, where it wreaks havoc. Wildly unrealistic and pure entertainment, this is exactly what I was looking for after a heavy read about genocide.

squirrelbrain Hee hee look at the pupper! Is he (she?) actually sleeping like that, or just stretching?! 🐶 4y
Hooked_on_books @squirrelbrain She‘ll sleep like that! She usually doesn‘t stay in that position for long, but she does it often. Makes me chuckle every time. 4y
squirrelbrain I bet it does! One of my cats used to sleep on her back, like a sea otter rafting... made me laugh! 4y

Book #8 in the Agent Pendergast series. Wow. This one had a totally different setting and was like experiencing a modern-day first voyage of the Titanic...although with odder circumstances.

Today‘s #wellnessWednesday is brought to you by the Berlin Marathon and Charlotte international airport! Today is a travel day and Panera didn‘t have iced tea so I got creative! Funny that the airport has fresh strawberries but my local restaurant doesn‘t lol #selfcare #marathontime #germany

So far I'm enjoying the Pendergast series. All the books up until this one have been fantastic, but this one was just terrible. I didn't enjoy it.

I had stars ready to expire so I'm enjoying a free drink at Starbucks. I have spent most of that time catching up on Litsy, lol. Returning to my schedule program of reading for the #slaythatseriesreadathon 😁 #litsyisalovelydistraction

Karkar Oh I love Pendergast!!!! 7y
mjdowens Darn it! I almost bought another Pendergast myself today at half price books. They are such good books. 7y

Bookzombie @Betty_Bookworm I'm less than 70 pages in but this one starts off at a monastery in Tibet and Pendergast is soon as after a mysterious powerful artifact taken from the monastery. 7y

#junebookbugs Day 6 Does a wheel count? I have no books with a shape in the title. #ashapeinthetitle

Riveted_Reader_Melissa Works for me....there are no square or triangle wheels, so it's a shape. 7y

How many books did you read? Pages?
I finished 2 that I was reading before the readathon started. I started another audio and a paperback. Total pgs: 276
How many hours did you read?
Audio: 4 hrs Book: 4.5 hrs
What do you think worked well in this readathon?
Interaction and encouragement
What do you think could be done to improve the readathon for next time?
No suggestions
Will you participate in a future #24in48 readathon?
Absolutely.

Bookzombie I would do a couple of things differently on my end so that I get in more time.
1. Be well rested before the readathon. I found that I was tired and just wanted to veg part of the weekend.
2. Clean the house before so it‘s not distracting. LOL
3. Plan more effectively. Where do I want to read and so on.

Thanks for a great weekend!!:)
