A happy couple are on a trip throughout Europe and end up on the wrong train, with some bad people. They come across something horrific and it destroys their lives. It isn‘t something supernatural; which is what I assumed when I saw this book. It was something far worse. *Contraception and abortion were made illegal in Romania in 1966; only in 1990 did this change. Read the book and you‘ll⬇️

It was still snowing outside. I stood there for moment, lost, unable to remember the way home. Eventually, my legs carried me automatically in the right direction. I‘ve never cried in public before, but hopefully the people who passed me in the bitter weather would have thought it was snow glistening on my cheeks, not tears.

The house had an ancient air about it, centuries old. It probably predated the railway line we had walked along. The door had no number, no letterbox. I suppressed a hysterical giggle at the thought of a postman traipsing through the forest to deliver junk mail and flyers from pizza places.

There was a little boy inside me, yelling at my adult self, as we approached the place. This is a witch‘s house, a witch who lures and eats the lost, who‘ll fatten you and devour you, make bread from your bones. Run. Run as fast and far as you can, find a bed, get under the covers and hide there.

A slightly different spin on #SpookySunday but Mark Edwards writes some great psychological thrillers, of which Follow You Home is one of the best.

I really enjoyed this one.. 😁 A real page turner that will keep you hooked, pretty scary too, would make a good creepified movie..

Just finished reading Edwards “The Magpies” and was blown away how twisted evil characters can get into the minds of others! So I‘m hoping this next one will be just as good.

On our way up to the Big House for the Michigan v. Maryland game. Hoping the rain pushes through in time for the noon kickoff! At least 2 1/2 hours in the car means reading time! 🤓

A gloomy day is a good day to start a new creepy book while the pug gets to work on his new chewy. It‘s almost Friday, Littens!

This was enjoyable but I would have liked it more if not for one thing (in comments because of spoilers). I enjoyed how it flashed between the present and the event in the past that started everything.

Finishing this one up tonight. It's not turning out to be as spooky as the first hundred pages set it up to be. Turning into more of human horror than supernatural.

I know I haven‘t posted in forever...I suck! But it‘s my first time at #Dulles & this is the book I have for my flight!

I want to read the books I already own, but I had books to sell at Half Price Books and a coupon from Barnes & Noble. Both of those stores are about thirty miles from my house, so since I had the time to go there, I had to buy something. 🤷‍♀️

Hooked from page one. I couldn‘t put this book down and finished it in on day.

Laura and Daniel are on a trip through Europe before they go back to London and have kids. Their on their way to Romania when things go terribly wrong.

A forest, a creepy mansion and the need to know what the hell scared Laura and Daniel so much they never want to talk about it kept me hooked and amped the thrill of finding out what was in the damn woods!

It was ok. I didn't hate it but I didn't care for it that much either. It's not the literary equivalent of beige, nor is it glittery gold. I guess the "so-so" symbol sums it up quite nicely really.

I managed to follow 15 Littens, and trust me, it wasn't so easy 😱

It was a good book, but not exactly what I was looking for. I was leaning more towards "horror" than "thriller". The Big Unveil of what happened in Romania was disappointing. #romania #thriller

Very creepy. Very scary. A great thriller. I had two small gripes with it, but still an awesome book.

Hmmm. Well, that's what I get for not reading any ebooks lately and not ever charging my poor Kindle. Guess I'll be reading on my phone today.

Torn between reading this and The Possessions next... this has been in my #tbr longer, plus it has the advantage of being an ebook on a day when I don't feel like carrying a lot... why can I not read both at exactly the same time???

Saw this on sale - this was a good read, really creepy, thriller bordering on horror, not at all what you'd expect from the blurb.

This was a difficult choice as it was better than a 'So-So' but not quite a 'Pick'. A young couple on their last carefree holiday before settling down, run into problems abroad. They eventually get back to the UK but it seems trouble has followed them home. The first half was good, second half loses momentum a bit but whilst I guessed the twist, the ending was good. Rating:3.5/5.

Kept me rapt through the end! Twists were not obvious, though you sort of had an idea where they were going. But overall I liked this one!

Tons of scary atmosphere that has me fully engaged! Overall success will ultimately depend on the reveal, but so far really liking this.

Abandoned home in the middle of the forest. Screams heard in the middle of the night. Pregnant women kidnapped. Empty cradles. The police are in on it.

Finished this one at the health club today. Ebooks are great for workout reading and when free/cheap allows me to try out genres I don't normally read. I liked this thriller with its twists and turns, although a couple scenarios seemed a bit of a stretch. The ending caught me by surprise.

Creepiest book I've read in awhile! Great story telling and I really loved the characters.
