Listened to this one, and I loved the narrator. I‘d like to make this book required reading. Not an easy read at all, but well worth it.

I loved this one. Guessed the killer, not the finer plot points. Great murder mystery to read before summer ends!
I really wanted to like this one more. I really like Anna Faris, but this book is just so so for me. A good part of it is in the timing, I think, since she talks a lot about her marriage to Chris Pratt.
Overall, it‘s a pretty good guide. Nothing super new, but I liked her information on finding markets and the exercises in part one.
I‘m either waiting for a library book to become available or I have three or more that I can choose from. Code girls is such a fascinating book!
Loving this book! Tbh I bought it on accident when I was looking for The Magpies, but I couldn‘t turn it down. It‘s reading so much like a Christie mystery that I forget sometimes it‘s not!
I‘m liking this but it drives me crazy how often they ask you to look at the pdf that‘s supposed to go with it. I checked this out from the library and I can‘t find a way to get the pdf. 🤷🏼♀️
I liked this book more than I thought I would, even though I was expecting it to be overall more humorous. Definitely best for fans of the show.
I loved this book, and I‘m so glad I read it as an audiobook. I really like Gretchen Rubin, and while I didn‘t think that everything was applicable to me, I thought everything was interesting. I did find some good strategies that I want to try in forming new habits, like avoiding rewards and pairing one hawklets it with another. I can‘t wait to read The Four Tendencies!
I‘m glad to be done with this book. It was so disappointing because I thought Behind Closed Doors was pretty good, but the first half of this book was completely boring. I almost bailed, but the last quarter was a better, so I finished it. If the whole thing had read like the last part, it would have been a fantastic book.
I‘ve really been loving audiobooks lately. I started listening just a couple of months ago. I always thought they were cheating, but honestly I don‘t think I would be reading non fiction books if I weren‘t listening to them. Perfect for preschool pick ups and folding laundry! 😂 As I was finishing this one, I realized it also included a podcast, so that was a real bonus for me!
So this book is $2.99 today in case anyone is interested. I‘ve been meaning to read it for a while now.
Starving and tired so being a bad mom and letting the kids watch a movie so I can actually sit down while I eat lunch. Homemade soup is the best thing ever on a day like today!
So... Thoughts on The Breakdown? I loved Behind closed Doors, so I had high hopes for this one. I mean, it‘s not bad, I just don‘t think it‘s quite as good. On the other hand, maybe it‘s me. I think I might be done with books featuring the unreliable female protagonist. 🤷♀️ not sure what to make of this one yet.
Hi Littens! It‘s my first post in ages. Can‘t believe I‘ve been off Litsy for so long! One of my reading goals for 2018 was to read more nonfiction. Right now all three of my current reads are nonfiction. Kind of weird, but good!
So many things to love about this book.... 1)Rabia. I loved learning more about her as a person and an advocate. She seems like such a tenacious sincere woman. 2) an in depth look at Adnan's case. This book goes into a ton of detail. Up till now I'd only listened to Serial. 3) insight into Muslim culture and community 4) details about our justice system. I don't even know what to read now. I want more updates on this case!
Stealing a quick minute to start this new read... my expectations are sky high for this since Stephen King praised it.
As usual, Liane Moriarty wrote an awesome book. I didn't actually realize this was her first book until I'd finished it. I loved the relationships between the sisters, although Gemma was probably my favorite.
This book was a roller coaster of sorts for me. At first I was so struck by the idea that it sucked me in. The writing is beautiful and full of atmosphere, but sometimes it seemed almost too much. There were a few times when I wasn't sure what was going on and it was kind of disorienting. In the middle the pace picked up and it regained my interest. Overall, a pick, but I would have made some changes for sure.
IF I had just a little time I would get this book finally finished! But no. No time today. 😓
I kind of loved this one. I mean sure. The antagonist is maybe a little too evil. But I loved the way the story was told, I really rooted for the protagonist, and I loved her sister. Great, fast paced read.
So, I got to a part in The Artist's Way where Cameron endorses a week of reading deprivation. I thought I'd try it, and I did very well actually. But then Wednesday afternoon I sprained my ankle. I thought I would read in the ER waiting room, but the property brothers were on, so I had to watch. 🤣Yesterday I started reading The Possessions, and I don't care if I ended the reading deprivation a day early. It was so hard to do!
Fun, but the dialogue between the two main characters throughout the book is too repetitive for me.
I seriously have so many other books to read that I know will be so much better... but I can't help it. I started reading this series a couple of years ago, and I saw a couple of new books I haven't read yet. I wouldn't read it if it wasn't included in my prime membership, but it's kind of a guilty pleasure.
I'd say this is somewhere between 3.5 and 4 ⭐️. I can't say I liked or got something out of every story, but I enjoyed about half of them, and the ones I liked, I really liked. Beautifully written.
Agatha Christie is awesome. End of story.
Very creepy. Very scary. A great thriller. I had two small gripes with it, but still an awesome book.
Hmmm. Well, that's what I get for not reading any ebooks lately and not ever charging my poor Kindle. Guess I'll be reading on my phone today.
Torn between reading this and The Possessions next... this has been in my #tbr longer, plus it has the advantage of being an ebook on a day when I don't feel like carrying a lot... why can I not read both at exactly the same time???
Reading just a little with my buddy tonight. He got a little grabby but thankfully no pages were lost. #RaisingaReaderBabyEdition
I love these! 1) chocolate. Always. 2) Deckled 3) Series- I get so invested in characters! 4) Ill say Neverland but really I'd rather go to Hogwarts instead 😉5) Publishing
Lost some bits of the cover in this reading, but it was worth it! Some of my favorites in this collection are The Mist, The Jaunt, Word processor of the gods, The man who would not shake hands, The reaper's image, The Reach, Uncle Otto's Truck, etc. Really a fantastic collection.
What a fun #bookishwouldyourather from @Kalalalatja ! 1) never crack the spine (although this would be a challenge for me!) 2) coffee, duh! 3) fantasy, definitely 4) evening, cuz my brain only works half as well in the morning 5) author
I've been so bad about posting for #splashintosummerreads but here are some #crazychapterheadings for day 8! They're not all that crazy, but they're crazy for me! I have rarely dominated a day before breakfast, especially since I skip breakfast so often. Morning people probably wouldn't think this was so crazy, but...
Since I'm reading Stephen King anyway... #madeintoamovie #splashintosummerreading
A quiet moment... time for #bookndinner and thank goodness I'm past the goriest story in here (I hope)!
A partial #tbr for #splashintosummerreads but really I just need to finish Bouncing Forward it'll take a while to get through The Artist's Way. Plus
I've had a terrible headache all day, and I've lost my book somewhere in my house! 😱Is there anything worse???? On the other hand, dinner turned out really well and I think we're going to be eating a lot more of these all in one sheet dinners. 😊
I really got a lot more out of this book than I was expecting to. It offered a lot of wisdom, and sometimes the most plainly written parts were the most profound. I think Catholics might get a bit more out of it than other readers, but honestly I think if you believe in a higher power you would find something to connect with in this book.
Cool idea @maich ! 1) suburb outside Kansas City. 2) Too many to choose from! I'll go with The Dark Half by Stephen King. 3) Harry Potter 4) Legally Blonde 5) Once Upon a Time or The Office 6) Bon Jovi 7) Red 8) mystery/ psychological thriller 9) stay at home mom/ writer/editor 10) no pets- 2 kids #MeetTheLittens
Starting a reread of this one... such a great collection. I'm taking a workshop that references several of these stories, and it's amazing!
This is a beautifully written book, one of the best I've read in a while. I think when I reread it, I'll get even more out of it.
