Book 2 in the Splintered Series a creative retelling of Alice in Wonderland. This is a dark story and I have to say I didn‘t see that end coming. And it‘s a great set up for the next book in the series!

so-soAlyssa has chosen the human realm over Wonderland. But there is a certain netherling that refuses to let her go. I do wish there had been more of the dark chaos which initially drew me into this series, but I recognize Unhinged for what it is, a setup book. I know how intoxicatingly dark this series can be, so I am willing to give it another try and read book three.

Splintered was very enjoyable, I especially liked the first person writing which is rare. On to the second book of the series @hannah-leeloo

I did enjoy this book, it just seemed to drag some. Alyssa is trying to ignore the Netherling part of herself and live as a human with her love, Jeb. Her art and Wonderland have other plans. This book feels like there's always something about to happen but it takes nearly the entire book to get some action. A lot of betrayal and lies in this installment. Looking forward to reading the next one and praying for more action. #TeamMorpheus

pickWhat a ride! This series is dark and twisted and so much fun! This one was action packed, and full of twists and turns that kept me guessing and wanting more! I love all the Alice references. There are some YA tropes, but I honestly don‘t care because the rest of it is so fun. The writing is evocative and the story is captivating. This series is like a guilty pleasure, but I don‘t feel guilty about it. Loving it! 😉 🐇🍄🕸🕷🦋

It‘s been a busy weekend and I‘ve hardly read at all. I‘m just going to read one chapter tonight though. I‘m getting up earlier than I normally do since I‘m going into work with the hubs to train so I can sub for one of the secretaries when she‘s off. I haven‘t worked in an office for years, so I‘m a little nervous. But it‘s just an occasional gig, so I think it‘ll be ok. Wish me luck! 🤞
I‘ll be starting this one tonight, and since it looks Mad-Hatter themed, I‘ll be using my tea bookmark that the lovely @aschermetz made for me. 😊💗

Loving this Wonderland series and Saturday morning is so peaceful. My dog is sleeping on my foot and I‘m okay chilling on the couch all morning reading.

I stopped reading for a couple of years from depression and finally got well enough to start reading again. Sadly only got like five books in 2017. Working on my fourth in 2018 and will be done soon.
This book is part of my favorite series! A.G Howard has such a wonderful way of writing she really brings her characters to life.

bailedThis book was really upsetting to me. I had read the first book in this series a couple years ago and had picked this book up a while back. My first attempt at reading this book I was disappointed that an amazing Alice in Wonderland retelling turned into a high school drama story. So I put it down. I picked it back up this week and I read almost to the end but I can't finish it. She tries to pack so much info and tell you so much it becomes slow.
Unhinged would make an awesome band name!!

so-soSeriously disappointed with this book. I waited so long for action that didn't happen until the last few chapters. It was so hard to keep track of who was backstabbing who and who had the upper hand at any given moment.
Alright, I'm 300 pages into this book and they haven't even made it to Wonderland. I feel like the entire book has been spent with one character lying to another and Alyssa getting into trouble with everyone. I'm getting really tired of the standstill nature.
Currently reading: Unhinged by A. G. Howard! I had a few problems with the first book in this series, but I'm not ready to give up yet!
pickI'm giving Unhinged a 3 out of 5 stars. Love the plot of the second book, but at times Alyssa's whining really started to get under my skin. Will be starting the third book later today and excited to read how the rest of the series plays out! 🐇🍵🎩

bailed-sigh- I had such good hopes for this book. I had previously read the 1st and I loved the different aspect of Wonderland, but this, I could barely get to the 100 page mark. Too shallow thinking. This girl turned into this "oh everyone loves me and it's such a big burden" -sigh...again- I bailed. Maybe in a year or so it won't be so bad...maybe...
