This is the 2nd book in 50 Shades of Grey series told from Christian's POV. As with the first book, I enjoyed delving into his mind. The character development is really good, though I think the number of sex scenes was a bit much as was some of the drama. I enjoyed how Christian worked through his feelings for Anna. He was brave considering what he had been through. 3.5 to 4 ⭐️

Been reading this on my kindle along side Fawkes to get me out of a reading slump caused by a bit of a rubbish month due to illness and then the big heatwave taking their toll.
Fair to say darker has defo got me out of my reading slump and i am down down to only 70 pages left to read in Fawkes too!

I have read so many better books since reading the original trilogy. This Version was mildly entertaining

It is what it is and I love these books. I still think I like Christians tellings better though. Ready for June 1st!!

Oh fab all books were good this only audio book on borrow box should be interesting. Just curious to see what there audio books are all about not tried one before. Ha may be bit odd one to try first but why not.

Okay. I‘m over this now. It was super repetitive and slow for me. Just not worth 500 pages. It wasn‘t awful, but just done with it now for me.

This wasn't even a #guiltypleasure - it was just awful.

Knowing the story from Ana's POV it is repetition with a few extra dialogues and some extra scenes. A lot of inner monologue, inner whining...

GAH!

Honestly, I had hoped she had learned some writing skills, this being the fifth book.

I was thinking about reading in bed. Shadow won't budge, though. He's snoring, which is quite cute.

I'll finish my #guiltypleasure in my reading chair, especially since Ghost doesn't occupy it right now.

Is this necessary?? Hell yes! Fifty Shades Trilogy, we see the world through Ana‘s eyes and we didn‘t really know what Christian is 🤔. Christian POV? Definitely answer lots of questions. #eljames #romance #trilogy Especially why he‘s so.... ‘attach‘ to Mrs Robinson in such a weird way. And given a chance, I‘d definitely like to shoot her dead.
