Yesterday I was overwhelmingly grateful for:

1. Organizers who work tirelessly to transform their communities.

2. The women on whose shoulders our first female VP stands.

3. The hope that we can now buckle down and work toward justice, under the leadership of a compassionate POTUS.

New reading buddy update number 3.... Her name is Sugar and she is sweet as anything.... She also keeps pulling my books off the shelves them sitting on them.... Little minx 🐈📚🤣😍

Reading buddy update on the gorgeous wee cat we rehomed yesterday.... Vet has confirmed she's a couple of weeks pregnant 😬😜 .... So in 4/5 weeks or so we should have kittens. She feels quite full to me already so who knows how many.... Hopefully not loads as she's just little. Unexpected extras eh!!

She's isolated upstairs for now and is well nosy enjoying checking out the road outside and fascinated by the spectacle of the binmen 🐈🐈🐈🐈

I Love Cats is written by Sue Stainton and illustrated by Bob Staake. Super cute, super easy, and super fun RF book that students will enjoy! This book is about a little girl who loves cats and uses a lot of descriptive words to describe them! This book could be used in the classroom to promote students to use descriptive words while they write. #ucflae3414su19 Perfect book for RA, S, and IR.

Thank you everyone for the well wishes for Flour. She is home after having 16 teeth pulled and is a bit doped up. She‘s very skiddish and the two big cats are acting like they are her mom and dad.

This isn‘t exactly book related (unless you count how much I love the tagged picture book), but today is my little girls adoptiversary. Four years ago my roommate and I drove in the pouring rain so I could pick up this sweet and crazy little cat that I had adopted without meeting. She‘s the little love of my life and goes well with books. ❤️

After a horrible, long night at work it‘s so nice to come home to my kitties (Nina is giving Flour a bath) 🐱❤️. I managed to run my toes over with a rather heavy cart of cookbooks which really hurt and then my neighbors parked horribly causing me to attempt parallel parking which I suck at. I‘m ready for Thursday so I don‘t have to see people.

Nonbook post. I am hanging out with my mom at my aunts store and I found this sign. I think I need it.

Flour has found a bug that stupidly decided to land on my growing pile of books on my nightstand. She is a little huntress when she spots one. Also out of all the books on the stand I‘ve read only two. I need to work on it.

Edit: apparently this is a kissing bug and they bite peoples faces as night while they sleep. 🧛🏻‍♂️ not what I needed to think about before bed.

I have loved cats my whole life (only adopting my first three and a half years ago). Black cats in particular hold a soft spot in my heart and my own little ball of fur is my pride and joy!
