This was so much better than I remember it being the first time!! I loved the action, world-building, and characters!! This is such a fun, easy dystopian/sci-fi read and I love it! I kind if gives off Illuminae vibes (which I LOVED) so anything that reminds me of that is great in my world!!
This YA Sci-Fi story is told from two POVs, Leonardo from Italy and Naomi from the U.S. Due to global warming, the Earth is becoming uninhabitable. They are among 24 teenagers drafted into the space program. Only 6 will move forward to become the ones to man the first mission to Europa to establish a human colony. Some of the things that happen are not realistic especially the ending which wad rushed. The book could have easily been ⬇️
I just finished book 1 and 2. I really enjoyed them. The way 2 ended I think there will be more. Can‘t wait!!! What would we do if the Earth became uninhabitable?
It took me a while to get into this YA, dystopian, science-fiction tale. The premise was absurd (sending 6 teens to Jupiter‘s moon Europa to start a new settlement with the hope of preserving the human race) but the last 30% was somewhat redeeming. There is quite a cliff-hanger at the end and the next book isn‘t due to release until end of February. I suspect by then my interest to see what happens will have dissipated.
I can't believe it's already December! Here's what I read during the month of November. Mostly Graphic Novels/Comics for a month long readathon in one of my groups
I really enjoyed The Final Six! I had been wanting to read some more space themed books so when I came across this one I jumped in. The 1st book the teens are competing to see who will be chosen for the "Final Six". A group that will be going to Europa to set up a new colony for the humans. I usually am not a huge fan of books that switch between different POVs. However it worked for me in this book. I can't wait until the 2nd book is released.
Still listening to the audiobook of The Final Six and enjoying the story so far.
I wanted to say thanks to @alwaysbeenaloverofbooks @stacypatrice and @bookish_wookish for the #LitsyLove cards this week replies going out soon
I started the audiobook of The Final Six tonight while working on one of my diamond paintings. It's good so far I can't wait to get a chance to listen to more tomorrow.
The story was interesting but the romance was RIDICULOUSLY fluffy
Ohhhh okay I like this and I was able to GET into it very quickly! I'm a total sucker for the "competing for sci-fi exploration." I'm here for it cause that always involves a corrupt institution, some sketchy science/disease and of course some AI and hacking. The romance in this? I liked. Cheesy. Adorable and believable. I thoroughly enjoyed Naomi and Leo but the best part? The world is fighting against climate change! SOUND FAMILIAR?!
With the last week in Canada, the idea of getting to leave this damn planet sounds INCREDIBLY enticing!
Finally made it home to open my #sffs package from @PagesByTheWater I 💜💜 everything! It goes without saying that the books are awesome! The candle smells divine. I want to light it right now. The coffee and mug are perfect... so me. I LOVE the journal! Purple and the quote... it is just awesome! Thank you so much!!
Thanks also to @Avanders for hosting. #scififantasyswap
I forgot about audiobooks when I did my stack post for #boutofbooks! I was 2/3 of the way done with my September book club book at the start of the week and I finished the final third over Monday and Tuesday — I‘m 3 weeks early too, which pretty much never happens for me 🙌📚
My second pool book yesterday. I picked this one up as an arc a while ago and started it without really knowing what it was about. But it was very readable. The future version of the world it build seemed real and possible.
Ignore the wedding stuff being torn down, but check out my reading spot for the morning! #NotInIowaAnymore
I was skeptical but I have to say, this is a delightful snack. Salty-sweet but not too sweet. Also, this #audiobook is pretty compelling so far. My only complaint is that one narrator talks more slowly than the other, so I have to switch the playback speed whenever the POV changes 😋
It is time for me to catch up to my Instagram again!
This copy of The Final Six came in my March Bookbeacon Box, so did this stunning bookmark. This book quickly climbed on my #tbr pile!

I love books when they are this length! And i love the protagonist! No spoilers, but I adored this book and am happy to hear that it‘s already been optioned into a movie by Sony. That said, I went in thinking this was a stand-alone, but now I‘m guessing is a series? Or, is it purposely left to make you think? Read it and let‘s discuss it!!!
This book overall was pretty good. I liked Naomi and Leo. I thought the relationship was cute but it was a little insta-lovey. It left on a big cliffhanger though so I'm already ready for the next book!!
I have 100 pages left in this and so far I'm liking it! I got an early copy via a Goodreads giveaway! #goodreads #thefinalsix
