August 2024 Book #1
It is always a pleasure to re-read these books. So sad the another magnificent actress died💔
What can I say? I just loved the books. The adventure in this story is just splendid. The audiobook is amazing. I read my paperback collection. Next time I will re-read them using the illustrated collection😃 4.5⭐️
My August list for #bookspinbingo
I enjoyed reading this book. I took my time reading this book. I loved seeing the characters again. One more book to go then I am done with the series. I rated this book a 4 out of 5 stars.
My favorite Harry Potter book!
Severus Snape - You dare use my own spells against me, Potter? Yes. I‘m the Half Blood Prince.
Best quote of the series next to Hagrid‘s, “You‘re a wizard Harry.”
⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️+
I‘ve read the first few books a couple times, but this is the first time reading through the entire series and it saddens me into a state of loneliness to realize that after The Half Blood Prince, I‘ll only have the last book left to read for the first time. After that, it won‘t be, “Oh, I‘m reading the (insert book number here) Harry Potter book!” Rather, it‘ll be reread after reread. There‘s nothing like reading a book for the first time.
The character development is beyond anything I have ever read. 5 witches! 🧙 🧙 🧙 🧙 🧙
I love how you get to see the growth that the characters have made and that they are becoming adults. A great set-up for the final showdown! ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️
I'm reporting 635 books found (6,350 points!) for #scarathlon week 1's game. I queried the Open Library API for keywords related to the buddy reads of #batbrigade and then filtered the results with a Python script. @Catsandbooks For more details, check this link to my GitHub repo: https://github.com/wapisani/public-pyprojects/tree/main/Litsy/Scarathlon_2023/We....
My sister texted me very upset this morning because she is only discovering Harry Potter now and she read how Dumbledore dies and now this. RIP to Michael Gambon
I remember just after I finished re-reading A Monster Calls, I saw a missed-call from my sister and I called her,she told me that my grandfather died, after I hung up I saw that the call was between 12:00 and 12:14.The Monster visits at 12:07
Anybody else has weird literary coincidences?
“Let us step into the night and pursue that flighty temptress, adventure.”
#September2023
Another day, another audiobook completed!
Potter while I telework. I couldn‘t take it anymore and switched to the web version of Litsy. It‘s not terrible on your phone folks! The photo editor is not user friendly if you‘re taking a pic though 😂😂🙃
I started my reread of this series almost a month ago (amongst all my other ongoing books) in preparation for this upcoming themed trivia night. That being said, I have less than a week to read the last 2 books in the series. Will I finish on time?! It is goning to be a close one lol. 😬
"And now, Harry, let us step out into the night and pursue that flighty temptress, adventure," the ancient wizard says in chapter 3 of The Half-Blood Prince.
I thought I would share how cute my Harry Potter Sticker theme came out! I love this color on my Kindle!
I listened to the audiobook of this book. I also have the physical copy of the book. I love this book, because how much the characters have grown. I rated this book a 4 out of 5 stars!!!
Anyone Participating in Deweys 24 hour readathon tomorrow?
Lord voldemort has returned and his power has created tension in both the muggle and wizarding world. Two death eaters, Narcissa and Snape come together to discuss Narcissas son Draco, becoming a death eater. As result in Narcissas clear worry for her son, her and Snape make an unbreakable vow where snape promises to protect Draco under all costs. Dumbledore travels to number 4 privet drive to collect harry from the Dursley‘s.
It‘s my house pride day!! #gryffindor woohoo 🦁
I started this book last night but I only read the first chapter. Tonight, I read chapters 2 and 3.
In this book, Harry is given more responsibility and starts to act more like an adult than a child. This one is really interesting to re-read knowing the major twists at the end. I remember reading this book at my great grandma's house, completely absorbed and ignoring everyone. It's a shame you can't erase your memory of books and read them again fresh. I remember this one being really suspenseful. Still very compelling even though I know the end
Up next on audio! 🎧

I've read these books countless times and they hit progressively deeper. At the end of book 6, my heart both longs and aches for the wizarding world. This time through the series, I'm appreciating the complexity, beauty, and value of the characters' relationships to each other.

".....how often this happens, even between the best of friends! Each of us believes that what he has to say is much more important than anything the other might have to contribute!"
Dumbledore accurately explains my depraved nature once again.
I'm pretty sure this one is my favorite of the series, not in the least because I really love Harry and Ginny together. But the comedy and drama balance out SO well, too! #childrenslit #reread
"....that they were still there on either side of him...not shrinking from him...was worth more than he could ever tell them."
❤️ ✨What matters. What keeps us. What sustains us.✨❤️
Harry and company will continue on. I hope he goes out for blood in the last book.
This was a treat to read as I haven‘t read it in probably 15 years. I am rereading the whole series which I started when I was a kid and then had to wait years for each new book to come out. This go round I‘ve been able to read without breaks and it‘s nice to go through the story continually. I enjoyed this one. I still stand my the third book being my favorite in the series but this was a nice reread treat.
At last a solid thumb‘s up. After really enjoying the start of this series, I found books 4 & 5 rather disappointing. #6 got things back on track!
Sometime you just need an audio hug from Harry. Also trying to forcibly manifest spring with my iced coffee. Come on Mother Nature it‘s almost may!
