This one was a close second in the Narnia series. I really enjoyed the story line and that the 4 siblings from the original book are back 🥹❤️ I can‘t wait to watch all the movies after, hoping this one‘s good!

Isn‘t it funny how day by day nothing changes but when you look back, everything is different.
“Isn‘t it funny how day by day nothing changes but when you look back, everything is different.” After falling in love with the land of Narnia we must now see how years of war has made its once magical existence a distant memory, even a fantasy. Yet hope is not lost but is instead growing in the heart of a new king of Narnia who must learn what it means to be a true leader. #narnia #52challenge
I enjoyed this book as much as the first I read in the series (The Lion, the Witch and the Wardrobe). I enjoyed the characters a bit more in this book but am still bothered by the blatant sexism. Favourite thing by far was the trees! Excited to read the third - I believe it is The Voyage of the Dawn Trader if I'm reading in publication order.

“Welcome, Prince,” said Aslan. “Do you feel yourself sufficient to take up the Kingship of Narnia?”
“I—I don‘t think I do, Sir,” said Caspian. “I‘m only a kid.”
“Good,” said Aslan. “If you had felt yourself sufficient, it would have been a proof that you were not.”
I just finished the 4th book of the Chronicles of Narnia, I enjoyed reading this book again. We have the old characters from the other books show up and also have some new characters too. I love the book a lot. I rated this book a 4 out of 5 stars!!!
Fun little story about Narnia many hundreds of years after the Pevensies' departure. Caspian was fighting as the rightful ruler of Narnia, vowing to recognize the lore of Old Narnia. Great supporting characters, quite readable.
Can we address how absolutely incredible Lynn Redgrave is as a narrator???
When a prince learns he may no longer be the heir to the crown of Narnia he goes on an adventure to learn if the ancient tales about a peaceful land with talking animals are true. Some of our favorite characters from The Lion, the Witch, and the Wardrobe return for a wonderful encore. Narrated lovingly by Lynn Redgrave. Moving on to Voyage of the Dawn Treader.
I also made this very complex birthday card for my dad yesterday (Mom @Doll8455 don‘t tell him!) yesterday during my day off, and making progress with the tagged book. It took about an hour-&-a-half to make this card. The Thanksgiving cards took the rest of the day. Some cards are just very detailed, which is a perfect project to take my mind off work.
I took off work yesterday and finished my Thanksgiving cards and made significant headway through the tagged book.
Peter, Susan, Edmund and Lucy are pulled back to Narnia to help Prince Caspian defeat his uncle and take his rightful place as King. We meet some awesome new characters-Trumpkin, Doctor Cornelius, Trufflehunter and Reepicheep, my favorite.
My final book of 2021! The concept of this book was pretty cool. I like the idea of time being so different in Narnia. Edmund was a lot better in this book, thankfully. He was actually kind and sided with Lucy a lot!
I've opted for release order over chronological order, but I'm not sure if I will continue the series. ⭐⭐⭐
I‘m so enjoying going back to Narnia!!
I LOVE how the narrator talks to you in the books!
In anticipating reading Once upon a Wardrobe 🚪, I‘m reading The Chronicles of Narnia 🦁 , and I just read Becoming Mrs Lewis 🦁 .
🦁 🧙♀️ 🚪 👑 🚢 🌊 🦁
I love Aslan, Silenus, and Bacchus liberating the towns and rivers so much. Lewis sure tried to add a TON to the mythology in this one. #childrenslit
Thank you for the #Two4Tuesday tag @TheSpineView !!
1. I feel like it has to be someone Narnian - Lewis had a total thing with names. I LOVE Caspian & heck even Puddlegum is descriptive, even if it isn't one I'd choose if I had kids 😂
2. Loyalty, kindness, & a dose of snarky humor - really the same things I like in real people!! 😆
Want to play @AmyK1 @BayouGirl85 @Laughterhp ??
I listened to another Narnia book today as I worked around the house. I enjoyed this one more than I remembered from previous reads and am curious to continue the series. I also thought the narration for this audiobook was great.

Hey Litsy fam! I‘ve been off for quite some time as life took over hehe. But I‘m still reading and loving the read along!
I‘d say the book is pretty good but if you‘ve watched the movie, you know that Prince Caspian falls in love with Susan and I missed that in the book 😢 that and the song in the end when they say goodbye is beautiful! It kept playing in my head towards the end 😭😭

⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ ◼️ I am a little late...sorry https://www.goodreads.com/review/show/3871079143 #narniareadalong #april @CaffeineAndCandy
I‘m a bit behind in my #NarniaReadAlong but I‘m getting there. These are so much shorter than my recollection remembers them to be, but I enjoyed the adventure and journey just the same.
Jumping in a bit late on the #AwesomeApril Readathon. I need some happy distraction and motivation this week. Numbers are going bonkers in Ontario, vaccine shortages abound, and next week we are back to online learning for "an indeterminate time." And it's raining a lot.
Goals: catch up to the #NarniaReadalong (finish Prince Caspian, start Dawn Treader), read one other book.
Thanks as always to our host @Andrew65
Very enjoyable #narniareadalong @CaffeineAndCandy I was a little disappointed that the chapters were so much longer bc I ended up reading it by myself instead of to Wesley.

I finished reading this one yesterday at my favorite reading spot. 💚
Personally, I enjoyed this one more than The Lion, The Witch, and The Wardrobe. Although I loved the first book, in this one I felt more invested in the characters and the fate of Narnia. There are so many wonderful new characters introduced too.
5⭐️s
I was terrible about keeping up with the #NarniaReadalong for Prince Caspian and basically just speed read it over the last two days. 😅
I love the cast of characters from skeptical Trumpkin to loyal and brave Reepicheep. 🥰 These rereads are like visiting dear old friends.
I don‘t remember the ivy scene at the feast being so nightmarish. 😯
I really love how this one ends with Edmund realizing he‘s left his flashlight back in Narnia. 😂🤣😂
I finished a couple days early again.
As I recalled from previous readings, though I love any visit to Narnia, nothing compares to the first book in the series.
#NarniaReadalong
I really am enjoying revisiting these books as a part of the #NarniaReadalong. I‘m happy to see that so far the stories live up to my memories of how great they are. #BookSpinBingo
I finished this second book in the Narnia read along a little earlier than I intended because it‘s an easy read and I got caught up in the story. Several people on Goodreads called it difficult to read; one person called it “Hamlet with badgers.” Although the 2nd comment made me laugh, I don‘t agree with either statement. The book was a tad slow at first, but it picked up. I enjoyed seeing these characters again. Thanks for the read along!
I enjoyed this more than The Lion, The Witch and The Wardrobe. I admit Ben Barnes playing Caspian in the movie may have helped that but I also think the story was just better 🦁
#NarniaReadalong @CaffeineAndCandy
Doing my #NarniaReadalong reading with breakfast. I get my first COVID vaccine today! 🎉🥳
Catching up on my #narniareadalong !
I‘m finally able to read again after my eye surgery, and I can‘t tell you how relieved I am about that!
Things are moving along nicely in this book for the #narniareadalong! Am all caught up again.
I‘m intrigued by how the story is set up & am enjoying the new characters - especially Doctor Cornelius!!
And love how they call Trumpkin D.L.F. ? that sounds very 21st century!!
All restaurants & cafés have been closed here since November & I miss reading in a cozy café so much!! Am getting some morning coffeehouse vibes via YouTube ??♀️☕️
#narniareadalong I may read this by myself instead of to Wes- these chapters are a lot longer than the previous book and he can‘t last lol.
Hey all! Yesterday we started Prince Caspian of The Chronicles of Narnia. We are reading in publication order instead of in the order of the series. This is the second book of the #NarniaReadalong. We are still reading a chapter a day. Thanks so much for participating with me in this! Off we go on another adventure 🤴⚔ I can't wait to see what happens within these pages!
Because I‘ve only ever read The Lion, the Witch, and the Wardrobe & The Magician‘s nephew (and those only a couple of years ago), I decided to participate in @CaffeineAndCandy ‘s Narnia read-along beginning with Prince Caspian. So far, so good, but I‘m only one chapter in. My copy is the edition that has all the books.
Peter, Susan, Edmund and Lucy end up back in Narnia, only to find that it has changed. The four with Prince Caspian meet up to fight for Narnia‘s inhabitants again.
It‘s definitely different to listen to this book after Lord of the Rings for many days. 😅
#two4tuesday Thank you for the tag, @QuietlyLaura 😊
1. Definitely Reepicheep from The Chronicles of Narnia. He has many admirable traits. 🐭
2. Yep! Not nearly as much here in Philadelphia as back in Michigan (born and raised there). My latest snow day of the year when I was a kid was May 1. 🤣❄️🧤
Usurper Miraz has taken the throne of Narnia, content to pass it on to his nephew, Caspian, the rightful king. Until he has a son of his own... Caspian uses an artifact from the past in his hour of great need. Will help arrive in time? C. S. Lewis introduces us to some of his most memorable characters in this story: Trumpkin, Reepicheep, Trufflehunter, the Bulgy Bears, Glenstorm, and Dr. Cornelius. The lesson in this book is faith.
#20series20days - Day 2 - how can I not mention the first series I remember reading growing up?? I love all of these books so much, with a special soft spot for Caspian because I LOVE that name. 😁 You'll note that I keep my series in published order, which is the way I think they should be read! 😂
@Andrew65
I *almost* liked this one as much as the first. I love the old faces, but I also love the new faces: Caspian, Reepicheep, Trufflehunter, and especially the Bears! 😄 I‘ve needed Narnia lately and I‘m glad to be back. This is just one of those series that you can come back to, no matter your age.
