I‘ve never been a huge “Give a” fan. Some of the books are nice, but mostly not for me. I don‘t care for the roundabout story. This edition is the special holiday edition that has craft ideas, recipes, and letters to Santa at the back. While I may not like this, I Know lots of kids who will.

As with all mouse books, this one is adorable. Mouse does all things Christmas-y that are fun, crafty, and cute. And he ends up back where he started. This book contains songs, recipes, and craft ideas. #holidayread

My kids think they‘re too old to read Christmas stories with me any more so I read these to myself. #elfies #wintergames

Oh Mouse how I love your adventures. 💚 In typical fashion for this series, mouse discovers lots of wonderful things in the world around him. Great holiday family read.

If You Take a Mouse to the Movies by Laura Numeroff was published in 2000. The book is based on a boy who has a pet mouse in which the mouse is very needy and asks him for lots of things. The mouse gets what he wants and then the cycle repeats all over again!

I took my #ReadtheMoviesSwap box to the post office this morning and completely forgot to take a photo. 🎥 It‘s on its way to Canada 🇨🇦 though and will hopefully arrive in plenty of time.

So instead here are the pumpkins we carved this weekend. Top one was mine, middle one was Axton‘s, and bottoms one was my husband‘s. 🖤✨

To my #readthemoviesswap match: I had been meaning to post an image of all the movies I own based on books, but there are way too many for one photo. So, instead I‘ve made a shelf on goodreads of possible ideas with some books which I have never read that have been made into movies. Link to my GR page is in my litsy bio. Anything that is not already on my read list or to-read-already-own shelf which you think I‘d like would be lovely! Cont‘d ⬇️

MeganAnn At one point I remember posting photos here of some of the book to movies adaptations I do own. While they were by no means all of the adaptations I‘ve seen, they would give you a pretty good idea of my collection. I‘ll tag the swap hashtag in the comments of those posts so you can find them easier by just searching the swap tag. I‘m sure I‘ll love anything you send!! ❤️ EDIT: tagged in comments posts show up at the end of the hashtag feed (edited) 6y

If You Take a Mouse to the Movies written by Laura Numeroff and illustrated by Felicia Bond is a New York Times Best Selling, F book and would be an excellent addition to your classroom library. The book tells a story about a mouse who‘s experience to the movie theatre leads him on an exciting path throughout the day. This book is the perfect RA during the holidays and even for IR, that students can pick up from the library and

This F book is so cute. My mom used to read these books to me and my sister when we were kids and I always loved them! It works great for young readers. This story follows a boy and a mouse on their trip to the movies telling you all the different things the mouse will do as a result. This book would be excellent for S or RA as it definitely lends itself to being shared out loud! #ucflae3414sp18

every year in December, we get to take the kids on a field trip to the movies. we saw Moana, which was WONDERFUL, and back at school we read about what happens when you take a mouse to the movies. 🐭 tomorrow is our abbreviated day, and then it's 2.5 weeks of freeeedom. #TeachersOfLitsy

I feel like last night we read two really easy books. I'm wondering if next year sean will be interested. Unfortunately, he wasn't very interested in this book last night. I think at third grade kids have heard this story so many times, in so many ways, it's just not as fun. It may be time to put this one away for the grandkids.
