If you‘re up for lots of wedding drama amidst the rich people of Nantucket, then look no further! I wasn‘t in love with these characters but the drama was compelling as always. EH has surely mastered the art of writing about dysfunctional families! 4⭐️

Beautiful day? More like "Miserable People". Whew, I love Elin, but this one was kind of a miss. Written well, as per usual, hence the "so-so" instead of a pan. But I tend to prefer at least a tiny bit of a silver lining to go along with the dysfunction.

I like her books when I‘m in the mood, but they are definitely forgettable...

So, I was down for a Nantucket wedding. Can I just say to any potential groom out there: If your bride is ready to call off the wedding so meticulously planned by her 7-yr dead mother because she learns about the engagement ring you gave to your previous fiancé in a previous relationship - and she‘s mad. Just run, don‘t even look back! ..There‘s so many storylines and characters here that that‘s not even a spoiler! Still, summer B-movie stuff.

Lots of drama as the Camerons prepare for and participate in the youngest daughter‘s wedding.

The first one I thought of for #Brides 👰

I read this book after a few heavier books. It was a nice breath of fresh air. The characters were easy to love and hate at the same time and the premise of The Notebook was cute. ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

I liked the story around this. It reminded me a lot of Seating Arrangements which I loved. But, this had so many characters that it almost felt like it was too much at some points. I think it could have been cut down a lot and focused more on less characters. I liked the wedding drama aspect as I have been through it myself, but just wanted it to be a bit shorter.

The premise of Beautiful Day sounded perfect for a beach read but a terribly flat story filled with shallow, entitled, petty and self centered characters made this one just mezza mezza for me.

I have struggled through books lately (what is the MATTER with Me?) with the exception of Elin Hilderbrand‘s books. This was really good, like an easy fun movie, and read in 24 hours. Just what the doctor ordered.

This was a fluffy and enjoyable #beachread filled with dysfunctional WASPy families trying to get through a wedding weekend. 👰🏼🤵🏼🥂This is far outside my typical genre choice, and I enjoyed the ride. I squeezed it in right at the end of summer! But I wish someone would tell Mother Nature summer is wrapping up, the 95% humidity is getting old. 🌞 🔥 🏖

I borrowed this book from my mother-in-law and was not expecting to like this book as much add I did. The story centers around a wedding of Jenna, a girl who has lost her mother to cancer. Before her mom passes away, she writes out Jenna's entire wedding in a notebook. The POV chapters are the various characters from Jenna's wedding. Family is a big theme, obviously. There is also a lot of humor which lightens this book up. I loved it!

This was such a great story!! I loved it, dysfunctional families always are.This is a definite read.

Since I'm nearly done reading the book "Leaving Time" by Jodi Picoult, I asked my son to help me pick my next read from my book lottery...and this is the book he selected. I'm borrowing this from my mother-in-law. This book doesn't seem to be up my normal alley...but I'm just going to try and enjoy it.

An OK read about families behaving badly during a wedding weekend. I just loved how the mother-of-the-bride planned everything from the great beyond

Not book related but I seriously can't handle how nice the weather has been the past few days in PA. It's crazy February weather and I want it to stay like this forever! 😎 Now if only I had a spot to read outside at home.
