A December Bride | Denise Hunter
post image
Pickpick

A fake engagement story set against the backdrop of #Christmas🎄Layla and Seth have a temporary arrangement that benefits them both, but one of them wishes it could be real. This sweet story shares characters with another book by Denise Hunter: Barefoot Summer. She is one of my favorite authors.

This is actually the first novella in the A Year of Weddings collection. Each novella is written by a different author. 2 hours, 18 minutes. #audiobook

The first one I thought of for #Brides 👰

I never could get that pesky sticker off 😫 Why do they do that?!

#FebruaryFeels

Leftcoastzen Sometimes a blow dryer for a few seconds near the sticker will get it to peel cleanly. 5y
Alwaysbeenaloverofbooks @Leftcoastzen I‘ll try that! Thank you! ☺️ 5y
Eggs Oh pretty!!! Or you could put a pretty sticker of your own on top! 5y

I like any of the other three covers better than the one I have, bottom left. #brides #FebruaryFeels @Eggs

Eggs Who knew there‘d be so many different covers!?! 5y
Lcsmcat @Eggs And there are (at least) three more! I suppose it‘s a combination of different countries and her sheer popularity? 5y

Catherine_Willoughby Was Elizabeth's crown made by donations as well as using ration cards to obtain the material needed to make it. Her smile at that time was gorgeous. She looks like my nan . It be a sad day when she does pass . I hope its not for another 10 years ! 5y
Catherine_Willoughby I mean *dress. Autocorret 😔 5y
Eggs @Catherine_Willoughby I think she‘s lived so long bc she had misgivings about Charles being her successor 5y

#FebruaryFeels Day 27: Filomena is a gifted seamstress. She has an unusual ability of turning #brides‘ dreams into “flowing satin.” I like how Filomena is depicted to be a no-nonsense, plain kind of girl who knows exactly what she wants. While she sewed other women‘s dreams, she was also weaving and stitching and embroidering her own wedding dress in her mind‘s eye. My review of this gorgeously illustrated book: https://wp.me/pDlzr-5fQ

Eggs What a beautiful story❤️💕❤️ 5y
