Middle Grade. I have looked and looked to see if any other readers have compared this title to The Chronicles of Narnia (Lewis) series before posting my review. Not a single mention which really surprises me. While fantasy, chapter after chapter is full of biblical symbolism. The last line absolutely solidified it for me "It's never too late to return home."
Magic can be deemed so negative but as a parent we encourage it in my...

A elephant, a cat and a horse. All titles from my tbr pile. Looking forward to The Bookwanderers. I‘ve always enjoyed books about books.
A new review is up on my blog you can find it here: https://sandralynnbrower.blogspot.com/2019/12/circus-mirandus.html
Let me know what you think.
“Four Small Words. That was all it took to set things in motion... I need you now..”

Playing catch up on #7days7covers #covercrush with #Day4. As a circus fan I like the dust cover but the hardback cover is pretty, too. I've included a pic of the pups I was with on Sunday, causing my delayed post. Bella, Murielle, Janet, & my pup Watson trying to join the girls for some shenanigans. I nominate anyone else who hasn't participated yet (I keep looking at folks who have).
I chose this for the Wonder Readers book club at my library and it was a delight to listen to. 🌟🌟🌟🌟 #bookfitnesschallenge
Magic always makes for a fun story, but when the story involves a secret, magical circus it's even better. 💙
This well written middle grade book follows Micah on his journey to help his grandfather. There are elephants, sassy talking birds, a magician, an invisible tiger, and so much more along the way. Micah's life has been tough, but Circus Mirandus helps him navigate the sad parts in his life to find where he belongs.
Did you guys see that Liberty purged 1,700 books from her home library!!!! INSANE!!
This includes my wonderful kitty, some awesome books ( by the way, do you believe in magic?), and a gummy bear named Fredrick who is very interested in reading with me. Also, sorry for taking a break from posting. I had too many books I needed to read, I forgot to post!!!😊 #doyoubelieveinmagic🔮✨🎩

🌷 Micah Tuttle of Circus Mirandus 🎪🎡🎈
🌷 No but would like to try this coming spring (if it ever arrives in Calgary. Still snowing a lot!).
🌷 Can't recall
🌷 Completed: Sidney Sheldon, Carolyn Keene (Nancy Drew series), Franklin W. Dixon (Hardy Boys series)
Aspire to read/finish: Agatha Christie, George Mann (Newbury & Hobbes series), Fredrik Backman, Tarun Shanker - sorry I got carried away!!! 😮
Thank you @CSeydel for #weekendchat! 💕😁
A heartwarming tale about a young boy named Micah Tuttle, who went to an epic adventure with his friend, Jenny Mendoza, to look for the magical Circus Mirandus; hoping to claim the promised miracle from The Lightbender to heal his dying grandfather, Ephraim. I am in love with Circus Mirandus! It was an intriguing & engaging read! If you like Big Fish, you'd definitely enjoy this too!

My picks for #NewYearsReadathon - I‘m about halfway through each of these already, but I‘ve been dragging my feet. Determined to finish them!
Trying to read all the #scbookaward nominees before our district read in... starting with this one. Thoughts? #childrenslit
This #ebook was quite the magical adventure! With his grandfather dying, Micah seeks out Circus Mirandus to find the Lightbender, a magician who owes his grandfather a miracle. Filled with magic and complex characters, Circus Mirandus is a heartfelt story. #Childrensbooks
As I will be working as a library media specialist in a Kansas elementary school, I decided I would read all of the nominees for the William Allen White Book Awards for 3rd-5th grade books and 6th-8th grade books. I've already read two of the books on the 3rd-5th grade list.
Library hold came in!
Not usually a fantasy fan, but this one was fantastic! Thoroughly enjoyed the story, the family history, etc. A good read. Definitely perfect for a seventh grade fantasy fan.

After the glowing reviews by @kdwinchester I requested this at my local library. I just picked it up and can't wait to start reading it.
My #BiblioWeekend has gone well so far. This book is a top pick in my book! ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️/5 A quirky, but a wonderful magical story 🎪🐯🌛💫 #SeptPhotoChallenge #20016-2017BluebonnetNomineesTravels
A world that had such magic in it must not be as awful as he had sometimes feared.
"... it was a ridiculous, amazing thing to do, and once in a while, it's good to be ridiculous and amazing."
"Four small words. That was all it took to set things in motion." -- Great opening sentence to a book filled with wonder, magic, and a touch of melancholy. Loved it!!!

Magical, weird, and wonderful, CIRCUS MIRANDUS just became my new favorite middle grade novel. | 🌟🌟🌟🌟
"I volunteered over at ReadUp Greenville yesterday and worked as a green room host, which basically meant I sat around waiting to see if the authors needed anything.
Cassie Beasley kindly signed a copy of her book for me! This note was such a sweet thing of her to say considering my job was basically to be a glorified babysitter (authorsitter?). ?? Can't wait to read this story!" - K
