lil1inblue @TheBookHippie We were “disowned“ by my toxic MIL after our wedding. Aside from the times she would un-disown us to verbally abuse my husband and then re-disown us, it was bliss. MisterInBlue managed to work things out with her in the last several years so he could see his Dad and other family, but it's so exhausting. I'm so glad we're home this year! 4h

Every Christmas morning as far back as I can recall, my folks would put the 1966 version of The Grinch on the TV while we were waiting for the family to arrive. It wasn't Christmas quite yet without having watched this delightful classic.
