Enjoy!
Fun graphic novel with some cool concepts and characters.
This first one left me with a lot of questions, but I still liked it and want to see what happens next.
Story wise I'd say this is certainly intriguing. Earth school transported to alien moon for no obvious reason. Alien life forms. High school kids trying to save the day. Sure, it's kinda corny, but I can enjoy corny every now and then.
I will say, the illustrations are very bold and eye catching. In a lot of ways they remind me of the Papergirls illustrations, though I know they're not drawn/colored by the same person.
Saw this one on Hoopla and decided to try it! So good! I need more. It's a 3 pointer, 2 b/c it's a mystery/thriller and 1 for participation. (And how fitting the main characters last name is Slaughter!)

I started & finished both Prodigy by Marie Lu (not in pic as I don't own it) on audiobook & The Woods: Vol 1 by James Tynion IV & Michael Dialynas Graphic Novel. I also continued listening to Harry Potter and the Goblet of Fire by J.K. Rowling. And started As She Ascends by Jodi Meadows for the @ASAReadALong !!
I am just in the mood for graphic novels, this one was really great as well!

Another comic series that didn‘t work for me. I read Vol. 1 and 2 so that I could give a full chance. It reminded me a bit of Paper Girls (plucky teens, adventure, mystery, are there aliens or time travel? What is going on?) yet wasn‘t even as good as that. Too disjointed and confusing. Too many threads that weren‘t explained. People acting as stereotypes and evolving into those attitudes quickly. Just not enough to keep me reading.
This was such a good opening to a series!
A midwestern prep school is mysteriously transported to a strange planet. Students and faculty must figure out a way to survive (and possibly find a way home?) as best they can.
I really enjoyed the fast paced story and the interesting characters introduced. I‘ll definitely be reading more of this series!
Went to the library to get My Favorite Thing which they were holding for me. Believe it or not, this is a narrowed down stack.
Anyone read The Woods? I'd never even heard of it before today. #litsypartyofone
While they were mostly comics and graphic novels, I officially surpassed my 2017 reading goal of 25 books. I'm working on number 28.
This seemed to be basically a zombie survival story with the zombies replaced by aliens? Factions forming in the school, sudden violent deaths, lack of food/water/basic necessities... honestly that's not usually my cup of tea but I guess I enjoyed this! I'm definitely pretty invested in the mystery elements and in some of the characters. 👍📚(graphic novel # 3 of my 11 days/11 graphic novels 😊)
This was so much fun! I've really been enjoying these comics lately 👍
A school get transported to a hostile alien planet with the students and teachers inside. Chaos ensues.
