Yesterday I read Rhythm, Chord and Malykhin. I had a library loan come through, so started Twisted Love. I also have an ARC I need to read by the 18th so I may start that today too. Too many books not enough time.

I read for 9.25 hours yesterday. That brings me to 39 hours total for this readathon and 3 books read. Goal achieved!

Not the best reading day yesterday. As you'll know, I spend a good portion of the weekend playing with my horses and yesterday was no different. Even though I didn't get home till after 3, I still managed 5 hours. I'm calling it good.

I finished reading I Could Never and started er Enshrined and Until You. Hope to finish another book today.

I am working on getting October wrapped up. The month was a good reading month. I read 28 books for a total of 8,827 pages. As of October 31st, my YTD totals are 252 books, 75,931 pages read, and 2,137.50 hours read.

I finished Slammed yesterday and I started Infalla: The Alien's Bond that has been on my Kindle for awhile. @CBee Not on my list of 20 books for #ReadYourKindle but one of the thousands I need to get to. At least some progress, right?!

Last weekend was the #deweys24hourreadathon. My plan was to focus on these two books. It was a gorgeous day, and I had a good start, but my son was going through something and needed his Mama to listen. I‘m so grateful that he wanted to talk and that I could help him get some feelings out. I only got 10 hours of reading in, instead of my normal 12-14, so I didn‘t quite finish either book. Being there for my kid was worth it. ❤️📚 #deweysreadathon

Happy Halloween #skeletoncrew! Here‘s my points for #hauntedshelf. I didn‘t end up getting any points for Week 3 because I was using the Week 2 spreadsheet to track my Week 3 points and I got confused. I decided to add the dates to Weeks 4 and 5 so I would use the correct spreadsheets and that seemed to help me. On Oct 25, my dog passed away and my reading slowed down. I didn‘t read as much as I wanted to and I‘m still in a funk because of it.

I finished My Best Friend's Dad yesterday. That puts me at 246/250 for the year.

Even though my dog passed away on Friday morning, I‘m still going to participate in the #hauntedshelf. I feel like maybe it will help me get my mind off of what happened. The loss still feels raw. Grief takes time. Will I still participate in #nonfictionnovember? I don‘t know. I don‘t know if I‘m in the headspace to take on books that will require a lot of brain power.

Thanks for hosting this Jill-it was fun to be a part of a readathon again!

I came up with an idea to make sure I use the right spreadsheets for the #hauntedshelf readathon. I added the dates for each week so I know when it‘s time to use the next spreadsheet. I don‘t know why I didn‘t think of this before. I probably won‘t read a book a day unless I‘m reading a lot of short stories, graphic novels or novellas but at least I won‘t get confused about what week of the readathon we‘re in if the spreadsheets are dated.

I was looking at my spreadsheet for #hauntedshelf and I realized something. I tracked my points for Week 3 but I used the Week 2 spreadsheet to track them instead of the Week 3 spreadsheet so I‘m not going to have any Week 3 points. I thought about fixing it but I‘m not going to because it‘s going to stress me out too much so I‘ll just leave it alone. Too many spreadsheets to keep up with.

Friday snuck up on me! This weekend‘s Readathon is all about savoring everything that makes fall great.

I‘m looking forward to recovering from a busy week with some books and pumpkin treats this weekend. If I can get myself together I‘m going to make the cheesecake pumpkin roll that @Eggs posted the other day (while listening to audiobooks of course.) My reading goals are to finish Carrie and In Defense of Witches.
