Saw this this morning on Facebook. Any excuse to read Vonnegut
I got this coffee cup two years ago at the Kurt Vonnegut Memorial Library in Indianapolis. Super cool place. If you‘re ever in Indianapolis, pay it a visit.
This will come as a surprise to no one. 💚

I am embarking on a journey to read through all of Vonnegut‘s short stories this year. The Complete Stories collection is split into 8 sections, so I think I‘m going to do a section a month. I might do both sections 7 and 8 this month, since they are the shortest two, and I have already read several of these. I even read “Harrison Bergeron” with my 8th grade class this year. Feel free to join me at any time along the way!
So excited about these library grabs I don't know where to start. I think I'm going to have to buy my own copy of the Vonnegut. 📚🤓📚
Celebrated the stowing of our artificial tree with some belated Christmas gifts. Especially eager to get on the Vonnegut, as he's been a notable gap in my reading until now.
Preliminary January #tbr... I‘m currently reading S. (Ship of Theseus) and plan to read through the Vonnegut stories this year, maybe one section per month. I‘m reviewing Strangers, a “YA Indigenous supernatural mystery” (according to blurb on back), and plan to read Lillian Boxfish with #litsybuddyread. 2018 is going to be an ambitious reading challenge year for me!
Our own #jolabokaflod! Tagged book is for me Remarkable Books was my gift to him. We each flipped through them for a bit but now it's time to fall asleep watching Shop Around the Corner. #mcpl #mctbr
New books and earrings from my husband and a card by my daughter=A happy birthday for me! 🎁 #jingleshelves
#TBRtemptation post 1! Recently released. Very thick, at a heavy 900+ pages 👍🏻. This is the first-ever collection of his complete short fiction. 98 stories written between 1948 and 2007, collected from magazines and books, with 5 never-before published. Organized thematically: war, women, science, etc. Introduced by two of his long-time friends, with a forward by Dave Eggers. #blameLitsy #blameMrBook 😎
I felt bad pushing my TBR list aside, but a NEW Dan Brown, a NEW Stephen King, and unpublished NEW stories by Vonnegut, it had to be done! Plus each book is a zillion pages each! Oh my.
Oh, the surprises there are at the library. My favorite author, my kindred spirit. What wonders await...

I've never read any Vonnegut.
Why did I not know about this or why did it not register in my brain?
